Does any one know if six flags has there track yet? What are they waiting for? Are the coasters going to be open, opening day? I have a bunch of questions. I guess I'm confuzed. Why don't we know anything?
Your right, we don't know anything yet. I don't know what they're waiting for, weather is just going to get worse in the next few weeks. I mean the past week wasn't bad, and much of the snow melted, in my area at least. Well I don't think track is there yet, but I hope construction starts soon...

You know, I just dropped off my daughter(she lives in Zion), and I was so tempted to drive into the employee parking lot to see if there was any track on-site. I chickened out. What I have noticed is lighting on the Eagle right near the beginning of the helix. I am trying to figure out what they are doing there because its been lit for the last month. But for the record, there has been no visible construction at the park. We will just have to be patient.

Update - I took a look yesterday prior to going to my superbowl party, the only thing I saw in the employee parking lot was the skywhirl base. No track that I saw.

It would be nice if the park would announce the coaster(s), opening dates, etc. They must have some secret marketing strategy, or, both rides may not be ready for opening day (or at all) this year and they don't want a media disaster on their hands.
Weren't they suppose to get a Mr. Freeze a few years back? Was Mr. Freeze ever announced as coming to Great America or was that just a rumor?
Rumor only - It was supposed to go in the area where the impulse coaster is going.

Not really a rumor, actually. It *was* coming, but because of the problems with the other two Freeze's, SFGAm chose to cancel the Freeze plans. They wanted a ride that could be open on time, I believe.

Yeah, I wonder if our 2 coasters got "cancel" that would stink. I would be disapointed.
I would be outraged! If after all this time we ended up getting nothing I would be so disheartened! LOL. It would be very disappointing to me. In other words, it would suck. LOL ;)

They're both coming. Everyone just needs to chill out a little bit longer.
Although knowing track is there or the names really doesn't matter. It's all about getting ther coasters built, operating, and open.
I guess there's not track yet because (IMO) those two coasters shouldn't take long to build, so SFGAm is going to milk it for awhile.
Milk what? The suspense? I just don't understand why they wouldn't make an announcement and get some publicity so people would think "Cool I have never been on an Impulse I think I will go there this year." Well anyway, as my signature says I can't wait til they open.
