In the suit against Six Flags Great America for an injury last year that left a rider without a toe on the Cajun Cliffhanger, ride operators offer damaging testimony that indicates the ride ops are not trained for handling emergencies.

This does not surprise me in the least...

I feel for the employess that were not trained properly and faced that situation, however, I hope the parks take notice and revamp their emergency training and emergency proceedures .. at least for PR (public relations) sake..

I hope the victim is recovering well and gets a lovely amount from the park!

I would've rather won Powerball then be your 1 out of 22,000,000!!
Ok, well, the ride operator at the time was an international, and all employees ARE trained for emergencies.   But something went wrong.  And there are always trained EMT's on the park property.  So, this was simply a freak accident.   If the case was not knowing what to do, then this would happen ALOT more. And also, employees are not allowed to help guests in need of CPR (for example) due to liability, only First Aid is allowed to. *** This post was edited by ALF is cool on 12/8/2001. ***
