Got to the park at 9 as usual for my 9th trip to the park this year, once in the park me and my 2 friends that I came with headed towards the chain where we met up with another member and his friend. Deja Vu was on the list of not operating rides for the day and I didn't see it testing at all so when the chain was dropped I decided to walk over there. Half way there I noticed Deja Vu did indeed open on time and ran over there.

Rides we rode not in any specific order:
Deja Vu 2x(5 minute wait in the morning, half hour at night after closing)
We rode it back row for the first ride of the day and had another awesome ride on this great coaster. I haven't had a bad ride on this ride yet and don't see one coming anytime soon. The one thing that disappointed me though was that it wasn't holding the train at the top of the 1st tower for about 10 seconds like it was last week. We rode it again at night in row 1b for another fantastic ride. Which brings my Deja Vu count up to 15! One thing I realized today since I had one of my larger friends with me, is that Vekoma really knows how to design seats people of all sizes can fit into (well maybe they need to work on height).

Raging Bull 2x(15 minute wait)
This was my 60th ride on Bull for the 2002 season, me and my other friend had to squeeze my larger friend in so the op could see the red line. After a team effort we finally got him in and were ready to go. The first ride of the day was great very fast and lots of air but I accidently stapled myself on the second ride of the day so it wasn't nearly as good as the first but still decent.

Viper 2x (10 minute waits)
I rode in row 1:3 for the first ride and had a great ride with a high lap bar that provided lots of airtime. Later on I rode in back for another good ride.

Splash Waterfalls Bridge to cool down

Eagle Red 1x(confusing wait)
Red was closed when we got in line but as we were waiting for Blue, red opened or so we thought. We jumped out of blues line into reds line. When we got into the station the op told everyone someone opened the chain to the red side and that red is closed til 12. He told everyone to go down, but more people kept coming up the stairs and it was like 5 minutes to twelve so everyone hung around by the red side not wanting to lose there spot even though the op was trying to tell everyone to go back down. The op got pretty mad and showed his anger by slamming a gate. After waiting around on the stairs red opened at 12. Got on the first ride of the day in the back, the trims were on low so we had a good ride.

Eagle Blue 1x(5 minute wait)
This line was packed all day until later in the day. Very good airtime filled ride in the front?!/back?!

V2 was closed by the time we got to it and it was closed the rest of the day.

Iron Wolf 1x (10 minutes)
My first awesome ride on this ride this year. I didn't hit my head at all and it actully felt smooth for once. I was very happy with this ride yesterday.

Shockwave 1x (5 minutes)
I waited in a line for Shockwave, a short line but a line! I couldn't belive I was doing it either. I thought the ride was good as always but others in my group didn't think it was that great since they all hit there heads.

Demon 1x (2 minutes)
The same average ride on Demon, nothing special. Rode front row so no ejector air time on the first drop.

Didn't get to ride Whizzer or the most intense ride in the park, Spacleys Sprocket Rockets. It was kids fest so those rides had lines all day and I didn't really feel like waiting for them.

Batman the ride 1x (10 minutes)
It felt really fast yesterday, good ride my friend couldn't fit on it but oh well we still had fun.

Water Rides: Splash Waterfalls Bridge 3x, Roaring Rapids, Loggers Run.

We went on alot of flats yesterday. rode my favorite flat ride there East River Crawler 3 times, AIRTIME! Triple Play and Trailblazer have been disappointing this year they don't give you that feeling in your stomach anymore, I don't know why but it feels like they go slower.

All in all your average fun day at Six Flags Great America!

Great TR! if you can ride Whizzer it may leave soon.

See THE ULTIMATE in Orlando TR'S! Right now in the TR fourm!

Everyone seems so sure that Whizzer is leaving, but where's the proof? I mean, it very well could be its last hurrah, but how do so many people know this? Are all of you buddies with the "high up" management at SFGAm?

For me, technically yes and I have yet to confirm or deny this rumor that I even heard several times at the park.

Its a very "strong" rumor. Lets just leave it at that.

84 coasters in Track Record!! Hypersonic XLC # 100 in July. Waiting for the 305 foot drop tower in 2003. Thank you PKD.

Strong rumor, for sure, but remember that the Whizzer site is NOT the only site they're looking at for the new ride. Also keep in mind the former Power Dive station, with the ride intertwined with Batman the Ride, and flying over Orleans Place.

As we all know, even if this is a strong possibility, leave it to Gary Story and Six Flags to switch plans at the last moment.

Just think of the CCI that was supposed to have gone to Astroworld but instead went to SFWOA, etc., so on and so forth.

Personally, I would miss the Whizzer. It brings back nostalgic feelings and longing for Mariott-era pricing, especially in regards to the food. Does anyone else remeber the $.25 Root beers in Hometown Square?

Me me me me me me me me! I pointed out the place where it used to be to my wife last weekend and she thought I was lying. I believe when the park first opened though that it was a dime. Marriots used to run that park so awesome. I miss those days sometimes, then I ride Raging Bull and I am not as sad anymore.

Hmm, 2003 at SFGAm look it's a Bird It's A plane It's S**** M**

Uhhh..a week or so ago you started a thread called "SFGAM 2003: The Total Story" or something and talked about how you heard the same story from 10 ride ops, etc.

Well also on Sunday me and my friends proved that you shouldn't always trust ride ops or any employees at Six Flags. We went around asking various employees where we could find Micky Mouse. While some employees told us we were at the wrong park and that "We don't do Mickey, we do Bugs Bunny" Other employees told us that he was there and that we just needed to look around for him. So let that be a lesson, just because 10 ride operators said a flyer was coming in 2003 doesn't mean they are telling the truth.
