Six Flags Great America

What do you think is the next step for Gam after SUF? They don't have much room to put in something new unless they expand their land.

What I think we could get is some sort of compact wild mouse. I've seen these in so many videos and I REALLY want to ride one. Just the lat G's make them seem like sooo much fun!

I just hope when they expand they don't get rid of Iron Wolf. It was the very first B&M and, although it is rough, is a great ride.

Where in Wisconsin do you live, as I also live here! I live in Milwaukee! :)

Are you ready to fly in '03 SFGAm??? :)

GamR, trust me, wild mice are nothing to get "wild" about. I am fully convinced that every incarnation of rodents Suxorz!!!111. *But* if they wanted something rat-like, maybe someone could talk them into getting something like Euro-Mir. That at least looks mildly interesting. Of course, you all know I'd be perfectly happy with a Delirium :)

I think that SFGAm next step (due to upper management’s wishes) is that they will add a water park as a second gate. This I think is a perfectly awful no-good very bad idea. I have seen Six Flags water parks and none of them can measure up to the water parks/resorts (especially Noah's Ark) in the Wisconsin Dells (less then 2 1/2 hrs away), it is sure to be a disaster. I wish that they would add a floorless because a park doesn’t seem complete (yes I would say that even about CP) without a 6-8 standard looper and you might as well replace Shockwave with the best. It could easily go in Yankee Harbor if they removed the Yankee Clipper, which never seems to be open when I’m there anyway and if it was partially built over Roaring Rapids.

Finally I guess I have had bad luck in May but every time I go I see more crowds in May then in June. My best day by far at the park was this summer in mid-June when I went on a Sunday (mid 70s-sunny) and I was able to get on any coaster (except Deja Vu-1 hr) with less then a 5 min wait all day it was great. Whenever I go in May (memorial day, or any weekend before it) there are always a slew of people there and the standard 2 hr waits for Bull V2 and Deja Vu, and an 1 hr to an 1 1/2 hrs for anything else

Wisconsin Dells is about three hours away. I have a really hard time believing you can do it in *less* than two and a half hours. Some of the Six Flags waterparks are very nice (specifically SFGAdv and SFMM). Have you seen those?? People would certainly be willing to sacrifice a few slides for not having to drive three hours.

I have definitely never seen waits longer than a half hour on Sundays in May. Ever.

My suggestion is hit Superman first, then work around the park. If you wait the line will be really long. I have done the same with Raging Bull and V2. If the line isn't that long ride it again.

What food should he eat?

What time should he eat it?

What ticket booth line is faster than the others?

What's the best restroom to use?

What will the temperature be at 2:17pm the day he visits the park?

How many people will be in line for Raging Bull at 11:32am?

<<end alert>>

Rollerfreak8 - if someone had said that the park would be incredibly crowded and that American Eagle sucked, that Superman wasn't going to be open, an the park was 2 hours from Chicago would you still ask your parents to take you to the park?

Moosh - wondering why some people can't plan trips and get info for themselves?

You should go in the 16th. Enter the park between 11:14 and 11:17. Walk 36 yards in a northeasternly direction. Now, here's important part, ONLY RIDE VIPER DURING HIGH TIDE, trust me.....

Just go and have a great time. Id go to either SUF or DV first because SUF is new and will most likely draw a big crowd, and DV pretty much always has a long line. Other than that, if you go to the back of the park early in the day the lines are at a minimum back there. As for what to ride...GO ON EVERYTHING and form your own opinions not go by anyone elses. Dont miss any coaster no matter what anyone says about them, try em and find out yourself....thats your best bet.

Okay, so I should go approximately 82 1/2 mph on the interstate, and park in Lot K! Got it!

Anyway, I was just asking questions, im sorry that I was just curious about a few things! It won't happen again!

One thing you must learn Rollerfreak, is to never and I mean "NEVER" take Moosh seriously. ;)

Even if he is serious, just pretend he is goofing around. :)

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

I know, i was just joking around too! Thanks anyway though

If you ride Deja Vu, I suggest riding in the front. It is deffinitly worth the extra wait.

The top 3 all time cobrarolls.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Nooo...Deja in back kicks major rear.
Both shuttle inverts are great in front AND back. However, I perfer front on BOTH. DV rocks in the front because it's like "your bed is falling". I always had dreams about that when I was younger and DV mades it half real. Laugh if you want!

V2 seems like you're going to overshoot in the front, it rocks!

------------------
Hi I'm Swimmerkev everbody hates me.

First off, I think V2 is clearly better in the back because the back spike is the highlight of the ride. DV is a closer call.

Swimmerkev, please elaborate on the "your bed is falling" comment. Doesn't make sense to me.

I admit it I guessed on the WI Dells time (when I go there I come from NE WI and never go through Milwaukee so I guessed on the trip the length from the Dells from there and I was only off by 1/2 hr not that bad ;)

Also, I would like to put in a vote for the front of V2 because, one you go up the forward spike 3 times, and the backwards one only twice and two on the back g's you get airtime from gravity on the way down, in the front gravity is added by some lateral gs and is a more intense then the back, but dont listen to me as it has been proven on this thread I know nothing.

Touchdown,

I can't comment on you "knowing nothing", but your (very long - 79 words) sentence made no sense to me.

I think this is one of those cases where you can just put too much thought into something that is pretty simple. Bottom line is, Great America is one of the better parks in the country, and if you go in May you will be able to ride everything you want in the park, probably at least twice. There is always a risk sometimes that you will pick a day when a bunch of schools are bused into the park, as has happened to me a couple times, but even then the lines won't be that bad.
Oh and Touchdown, I wouldn't say you know nothing, just a little trouble with travel times.
