Six Flags Great Adventure Brochure

I just got a brochure from GADV in the mail and it has a some new 2003 info (mainly the operating schedule). It also has a pic of BTR painted yellow, and a full page on Superman: Ultimate Flight. If you want one, request info here: http://www.sixflagsnewjersey.com, and since some of the links are broken, use the feedback@sixflagsnewjersey.com link and request the info there. I already asked what would replace Evoulution, but they just ignored that question. If you want more info, just reply to this topic. Thanks!

I suspect nothing is going to replace Evolution.

Humor Ingredients: all natural flavors, some artificial additives. Sold by weight, not volume. 100% satisfaction not guaranteed. Void in Texas and Puerto Rico.

My "best guess" would be Jumpin Jack Flash ;)

It's been almost confirmed to be another upcharge.

What does "almost confirmed" mean? Is that like being a little bit pregnant?

Very good sources know this for a fact but aren't allowed to state anything just yet. It's going to be an upcharge which is all I can say right now. I believe there is another press event coming up at the end of Feb. Maybe they will let everybody know then? I'm not sure but it will soon be known on our park maps anyway. That is funny though Apollo :) PS- I'm not here to spread crap.

Andy - its been rumored for some time than an S&S up-charge attraction similar to the one at SFMM [and what used to be at CP and KBF] is being added to the park. Whether that comes to fruition and if it will be in the same spot as Evolution I do not know.

Was anything mentioned/announced at Eastcoaster regarding this pay-to-ride?

RCT Master - while I'm sure many might appreciate your hard work in putting together the park's operating schedule it really wasn't necessary. The 2003 schedule has already been posted on their website.

Sorry, nothing was mentioned about a new up-charge.

From what I understand, the Sky Sling will be located in the same area as the other upcharge attractions. It "could" be located in between the bandstand and dolphin show (think where Time Warp was), although my "best guess" would be squeezed in next to Dino Island.

Jump will be moved to open up the midway where it currently sits, and will "most likely" be located where Evolution once sat.

Batman will be yellow??? I hope its a stolen photo from OT. Two yellow coasters in close proximity would not be pleasing to the eye. I preferred the contrast myself.

Welcome to Planet Nupe!

I still think Medusa is more greenish than pure yellow.
Batman will most likely be yellow track, grey rails/ties and purple/blue supports. Just like Batman La Fuga at MovieWorld Madrid.
Yes but there is still yellow track structure of Nitro right next door to B:TR. So, techincally that is three yellow coasters in one park. Holy crap.

I was under the impression that the "rumored" S&S ride would go in the spot previously used by the "Ejection Seat" bungee-slingshot. Which as Corey said, is in the area of the other upcharges, near Dino Island.

But I think all this moving of JJF is simply conjecture. Why move JJF when it forces ppl to either A) Walk thru the Boardwalk games area or B) walk thru an arcade. I thought JJF was placeed there "on purpose" to increase in-park spending.

but I know that I know nothing.

JJF was there to move traffic into the arcade area, but with S:UF being right next to gasm, it'll bring in enough people through the boardwalk games area. It'll also help keep the S:UF area clear of people who have already been there, and or those who want to avoid the crowds. Nitro's midway (although alot smaller) is almost always packed full of people, and gets really crazy sometimes.

Plus why not move JJF to Evolutions spot? The guests are used to seeing a SBNO flat sitting sitting there, so why not?! It wouldn't affect the staffing and would open up another a midway :)

I agree that moving JJF would be a great move. I've ridden it twice vs. Evolution never, so there is hope it would work in its new location. It should be easy to move as it is a carnival ride. If you look closely, you can see the trailer mount.

heh. so, it's going to replace Evolution as the ride that operates *least* frequently?

~~Maddie~~

Exactly! Those guests are used to seeing a shut-down ride sitting there anyway, so why not just put JJF in its place?? It's not like the staffing in that area will change! LOL
