Six Flags Great Adventure?

Any good advice on our trip next Sunday to Six Flags Great Adventure? We've never been there, but we're seasoned amusement park veterans, including CP and IOA this year (not bad, since we live in NC!)
One thing to do if you're not season pass holders, and if you or someone you know belongs to AAA, is to visit a AAA and get the tickets. SFNE tix were running about $22 a ticket. If you do the AAA discount at the park, it's only 10% off.
I'd say head to Medusa first then Batman the ride since their the most popular rides and longest waits. The Chiller gets long too. When we were there they stated running the other side after the line got. I imangine that would be best for later in the day. When we were there it was a rainy Wednsday so lines were pretty short except for the 3 I mentioned above. GASM is my favorite Arrow looper now that the Phantom is no more. The back seat is incredible on the first drop. A little headbanging but nothing like the Chiller or Phantom. It really rips thru the boomerang and two corkscrews near the end. If you never did Houdidnis Great Escape it a fun ride and should be tried at least once.
For food the have a McDonalds near the back of the park. We ate at an Italian place near the Ferris Wheel, Laser Tag. Basicly between Chiller and Wheel though. They have good Chicken Parmesan Subs and Hot Sausage.
There was a discount shop (I think near the water show area) that had discounted shirts. I picked up a cool GASM T for like 7 bucks.
I don't know where you could find any discont tickets. I guess you can try local fast foodand conveience stores. I think it's around $45 to get in and $8 to park.
Have fun!

Parks Hit For 2000! PKD, BGW,DP,HP,PKI,HW,SFKK,SFA,GAdv,SFNE,LC,GE,QP,CDP,LP,KG,SFO,WG,GE,KW,IW,WL,
ride Medusa, but forgoe viper and B-TR if you have been on clones.

hit batmaN CHILLER but not robin, robin is just a cobra roll...

Make sure you hit GASM too, its my fave arrow looper.
Whatever you do, stay away from Viper and the Great American Scream Machine, it's just another one that Arrow Screwed up...
Stop the negativity! Ride them all if you haven't already and form your own opinion when deciding on rerides! Do watch out for Viper though. The restraints can be very painful. I have heard that this ride has been closed for modifications this year though, any update on that?
All the coasters have been open for the last two months (including Viper). Go on all of the rides and have fun. One tip for Viper would be to leave lots of room between the restraints and your shoulders or else you will feel pain.
Thanks to everyone for all the good tips! I'm off to AAA today.
I say head for Batman, then the Chiller (if you like pain), also on that side of the park are Free Fall and Skull Mountain (a small coaster in the dark, kinda fun). Then I'd head over to the other side of the park (take the sky ride, if it's open) head straight to Medusa (the line usually moves pretty fast), RIDE IT SEVERAL TIMES!!! I like the Viper so I'd go there next (it can bang you around a little). Then to Rolling Thunder (old woody). Next, it's off to The Scream Machine (this one can hurt too, it bangs my ears but, I still love this ride). I usually head back to Batman and start all over again.I don't think I forgot any but that sounds pretty good. There are a few spinning type rides too but, I usually just hit the coasters. Also, I would recommend the Safari (you drive through it in your car) it may open before the park but, I'm not sure. I usually drive thru it after finishing a lap or 2 around the park (depending on the crowd size that day). HAVE FUN! The safari may close at like 4 pm! *** This post was edited by jgfama on 9/15/2000. ***
