Six Flags giving away exclusive night in park for lucky pass buyers

Six Flags today announced "Dream Nite," a promotion that will give six winners at each park an exclusive night at their park, and the chance to invite up to 100 of their friends and family to celebrate with them.

Read the press release on PR Newswire.

They give each winner $1,400 (If remember correctly) to help cover the cost of taxes that you will have to pay. Also, it does appear it will be for a six winners at the same time. And did you notice that are picking SIX winners. Because it is SIX flags.

Each winner that is a United States resident will also receive a cash stipend to defer a portion of the cost of any taxes associated with winning the prize in the amount of one thousand two hundred eighty dollars (U.S. $1,280) per winner. The cash stipend will be distributed after the Dream Nite event.

It's pretty easy, after the party they give you $1280.00 to pay the taxes with, sounds like a pretty good deal.

If they promote this well, it could indeed increase pass sales

Gee, Great Adventure with only 600 people for 4 hours, COOL!

Free Food! COOL!

Sponsor gets to pick the night. Think it will be a Saturday? or a Tuesday?

And if someone from Canada wins (now what are the odds of THAT?), why are they required to answer a mathematical skill question (within 5 minutes with no assistance of any kind) in order to claim the prize? Is that a Canadian law of some kind?

I understand every sweepstakes has to contain the "no purchase necessary" clause in it, but how can anyone equitably select winners from those who purchase passes online or in person, and those who send in a hand-written index card?

Wonder how many "certain" rides they'll open for 600 people? Will it be directly proportional to the number of rides open for the usual 30-40 thousand in the park on any given summer weekend?

^"To be officially declared a winner, residents of Canada must first correctly answer, without assistance of any kind whatsoever mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question in no more than five (5) minutes, the test to be administered by telephone."

You must know calculus to win!

For the ones who purchase passes, they just print off a 3x5 piece of paper and put it in the drawing. OR They put a computer entry in for each person who enters by mail.

Wonder if we see anyone on here looking for people to take next year? :) I would go.
