Six Flags Florida??

Ok can anyone confirm this? I have been told by some friends that they are spotting Six Flags Helicopters up near I-95 north of Orlando. Near a town called OSTEN. I think they said Mims Road & Rt 46? Apparently a bunch of land has been sold for a while now and things have been tight lipped. With the talk of Six Flags selling property to reduce the debt, maybe it it just to bring some coasters to this Rumored Florida land??

Any other Floridians heard this? I am new to Florida(Nov) and have heard nothing of this until now.

Let's put it this way: Six Flags is looking at possibly SELLING 6 of their parks to pay off their 2.1 billions debt and the last park SF built was in the 70's. Sorry, but this is not true.
I think those are UN helicopters for the New World Order.

crazycoastergirl - did that same person also try to sell you a bridge in Brooklyn?

The SF Florida rumor has been around for ages.

I remember hearing it as far back as 1999 when I lived in Jax. People (and not just enthusiasts) insisted SF was building a park nearby.

Well, with all that planning (and I've seen this rumor even farther back than '99), it should be one heck of a park when it opens!

</sarcasm>

In all seriousness, with the troubles Six Flags has been in recently, I think it's safe to say any rumors of a new Six Flags park in Florida will remain mere rumors.

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

Actually they are checking out some empty land.
When they close all the parks they will store the rides from the defuct parks on that land.
When they start rebuilding SFNO they will install all those stored rides in SFNO.

Yeah, Thats what that was.

Six Flags has a fleet of helicopters? No wonder they're in debt.
^But four of their copters are down for repairs. Two are pretty much completely out of commission, old Hueys (circa 1969) and can't get parts.
The one working copter, works occasionally in the Batman Thrill spectacular, where it is suspended from a cable and smashes into Gotham City.

:) jk

Are these "Six Flags Helicopters" painted a matte-black and unmarked? ;)
Actually, Boblogone, they are unmarked. That way, when they move a whale like Shuka, they do not draw attention. People just sort of look up, see a whale flying over head and think: oh, that's just a whale flying over head.

They're quite stealthy, indeed.

Describe a SF helicopter. Is BUgs and Daffy flying? Maybe Tweety is in the flying birdcage doing recon. Let me know?

^Yeah, really. I see whales flying in the sky all the time. Who hasn't? ;)

Unmarked Six Flags helicoptors. Now I have heard it all. Do they "spy" on us from above while we are in the park? ;)

The Six Flags Rumors were flying WAY before 1999 young man.
On a serious note, (which is rare for me) I truly think there's already too much established competition in Florida for Six Flags to even dream about entering the fray.

Another one of their marketing ideas (aside from "we now cater to familes") has always been that you don'thave to fly to Florida to have a great theme park experience.

I don't think too many people will fly all the way to Florida to visit a 6 flags park.

Precisely, which is why they need the 6 Flags Air Force.

I'd say Daffy would be the logical choice for the pilot seat, but has anyone ever seen him fly?

:)

Okay, i'll quit for now.

They must have seen some old bald guy with big black glasses flying a 'copter and blaring some Venga Boys music over some rail-mounted speakers.

Happens all the time here in Ohio.

Ummmm, yes. Reference "Duck Dodgers in the 24th-and-a-half century"... ;)

Hopefully those copters are not lacking in a Disney copter atmosphere.

"Six Flags builds brand new extreme park directly north of top Disney and Universal theme parks!"

That headline, my friend, is almost as dishonest as the New York Times.
