Six Flags extends Lo-Q another four years; adds 2 parks

X2 (additional fee, limited availability)

Looking forward to someone letting us know how this works.

It's $5 additional PER person using the Q-Bot on weekdays the park is open.

It goes up to $10 on Weekends and Holidays, again per person on the Q-Bot rental.

Opting to add X2 to the Flash Pass makes it available to "reserve" the coaster through the device. If not, it isn't one of the reservation options.

Considering this ride's relatively low capacity but extreme popularity, this is definitely the only way to go. I'm just glad they're actually offering X2 as a Flash Pass option at all. I remember they did that for the first week it opened as X in 2002, but was immediately removed from their Fast Lane (precursor to the Flash Pass) system because of how horrific the queue waits got on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks for info.

Do you know how "limited" it actually is? In other words, are they really only using one train per hour and it is possible to make more than one reservation on X2 in one day?

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.

In one of the Tim Burkhardt videos which were posted today, he said that you can only pay the upcharge to include X2 if you get a gold Q-bot. He also said it has been succesful so far.
