Local grocery stores [IIRC King's is the big chain] or fast-food reastaurants should have discount coupons.

I KNEW ALL CAPS HAD A PURPOSE! Oh wait.

There was a great strongbad that responded to an all caps e-mail. Anyone remember which one?

I believe McDonald's has buy one get one free coupons, King Soopers sells discount tickets at customer service, or you can use a Coke can.

Check rcdb or the park's website, call them directly, and then ask them where to get discounts. Works every time.

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!

Gosh, I would hate for a park to be crowded.

Buller - Please, please, please make some time to visit the other park in Denver, Lakeside. The Cyclone is the best wood in the state, they have a great old mouse, a wonderful whip, fun house, and other classic rides. Make sure you visit just at sunset...watching all the glorious art deco neon light up is amazing, especially when viewed form the train ride around the lake. Tickets are cheap and the park is rarely crowded.

You won't be sorry, I promise ;)

It probably would have been a toss up for the old Elitch....I drove past Lakeside during the winter...and have seen plenty of pix. It looks absolutely fabulous.

Check out Lakeside and tell us all about it when you get back.

I think the Major rides don't open until 6:00 or 7:00 so its right about sunset the rides open.

Operation for major rides at Lakeside varies depending on what day of the week it is. Check their website for information or pick up the phone and call them. Everyone there is wonderful to work with. Keep in mind, the ACE Preservation Convention starts Aug 1 at Lakeside. (I'll be there on the 2nd since Metallica is playing Mile High on the 1st.)

Also, I wouldn't plan on being there too late as I've had a few problems when there after dark.

Edit: One last bit of information, call them about the Cyclone's operation. The coaster experienced a problem over the past weekend and they had to evacuate the riders. Not sure if it was a rollback or stopped on the lifthill, but there was a brief story about it here.

You can pick up Buy-one-get one's at Mcdonalds. They have hundreds of them in stacks. Hopefully Twister II will be up for your visit tommorrow, it has been down for a couple days.

As far as Lakeside goes, it is a great park. The Cyclone is the best wood in Colorado. The Whip has unfortunatly not been fully restored yet and is not open yet. If you are just visiting Colorado, don't pass up Lakeside, it is a great park with great prices.
