Six Flags Discovery Kingdom moves remaining elephants to be with more elephants

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom safely transported its two remaining resident elephants to a 600-acre zoological park in Winston, Ore,, last week, according to a Six Flags press release. According to park officials, the decision to phase out the park’s resident elephant program was driven by the staff’s desire to provide the elephants with a more social environment than a two-individual herd.

Wow, elephants have been a part of that park since the Marineworld Africa USA days.

Speaking of which, Oracle is headquartered on the old site.

A two-individual "herd" of elephants reminds me of the old joke about attempted murder:
