Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's giraffe breeding program got a boost recently with the addition of one young female, a park spokeswoman said. With a price tag of $70,000, the park bought Barbro, a year-old orphaned female, from the San Francisco Zoo, said Discovery Kingdom spokeswoman Nancy Chan. The acquisition brings the park's giraffe population to five - two males and three females, she said. The park lost a male to a fire in 2007.
