Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, Calif., on Thursday announced plans for a 150-foot-tall SkyScreamer tower swing ride for spring 2011. SkyScreamer will be in the front of the park and rise to a height equal to Discovery Kingdom’s tallest roller coaster, the floorless Medusa.

They should have gotten a taller version, and leaned the tower 45 degrees on its side. :)

I guess it's not going to be a bad year for Funtime after all.

I wonder if this ride is actually 150ft...

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Glad to see they are getting an addition. There towers seem to be the attraction of choice for 2011.

Not another really?

now there will be so many of these I don't think there is any draw to go to a park for these new high swing attractions.

It is interesting how many are popping up. I can't think of another single attraction concept that has been installed in so many parks in one year.

I can't bring myself to ride these things...Anxiety attack central for me. Nothing worse than hanging onto nothing but a small seat held by a chain swining very high up! AHHHH But they are fun to watch.

I like the fun roller coasters with small dips and quick turns.
