Six flags darien lake?

Anything new at sfdl?
not that I have heard of lately! i heard just improvements for the year and next year there 40th anniversary i heard of a cloned floorless coaster of batman the dark knight up behind the go karts. i heard they wanted it because they wanted a batman themed roller coaster
I hope so for 2004. Nothing This year cause Its a little late for announcements, and nobodys seen anything. A floorless would be great. They have a Batman Show, but no batman theming or rides, so that is a big possibility. Behind the Superhero Speedway though? Theres a campground there, unless they move it.........
I don't know Sideshow_John ur right they would have to remove the campground but I don't think in no way a batman the dark knight coaster clone would fit where the go karts are.

Yes it would be nice to get a floorless but they need to get some new coaster in the future because they have a small collection of coasters

Number one coaster there is the Superman Ride of Steel

Number one flat ride is The Twister

They both are in my opinion

Before this evolves into a "SFDL never gets anything new" complaint-fest let me remind everyone that the park, with little to no competition, is not going to receive a new coaster as often as a larger park in a bigger city with major competiton.

You recently got a new shoot-the-chutes and a new Top Spin, both popular rides with the "GP." A new coaster will come someday but not until SF corp feels it will see a good ROI.

Yes Superman is best coaster and Twister is best flat. I really liked the Ranger Until it broke. :(
I agree Mamoosh sfdl will takes its time when they decide they want to build a new roller coaster. Hopefully in 2004 or 2005.

In 2003 i just expect a couple of improvements around the park or a new laser light show and maybe a new batman thrill spectacular show

How Bout an Impulse?

Speaking of Six Flags Darien Lake... anybody know what happened to http://sfdl.coasterbuzz.com ??

I haven't had a chance to ask around, and was wondering if any regular "locals" knew where the site went or when it's coming back.

BTW: Don't expect anything more than just a few face-lifts and paint jobs for 2003. I think this is going to be an even more pitiful season than 2001, of which at least we got a new souvineer stand & a camping area that's roped off for families... this year, we'll be lucky to get the gum scrapped off of the queue lines!!

A intamin impulse would fit nice in there buy the pininic pavalions by the lake and then you have the superman ride of steel by the major road out front.

This year i think we will get nothing or maybe even a ride being took out

The rumor about the clone has been around for years. I have heard it for the last 2 years (fisrt with a standup and second with the floorless)...hopefully we will get something for 2004!
Digital-Ignorance i agree i would hope a coaster of some type would be put in they have plenty of room behind the wave pool and behind the pavalions. and up by the boomerang area by the resort hotel
