Six Flags conference call

There is still plenty of land inside of the main park to work with. You've got a) the plot of land to the left of Joker's Jinx/right of Wild One b) the plot of land between S:ROS and Batwing and c) the plot of land to the right of the first drop of S:ROS/left of Batwing. I'm sure there's probably more parcels that could be developed.

Smart move though on their part not to even think of getting involved in the paramount park sale, now it seems to be narrowed down to CF & Universal along with that investment group headed up by a Viacom executive.

Other than a speculative comment made by the author of the Viacom article in the New York Post, and tons of rumors on Paramount fan sites, has it really been confirmed that either CF or Universal are seriously considering buying Paramount Parks?

GE has expressed quite a bit of apprehension with the theme park business, so it seems odd that they'd go after five more of them. (Of course, the Blackstone Group is a completely different possibility...) And, am I the only CF unit holder that would be SCREAMING if CF took on that kind of debt?

I don't know, I bet CF would love to have an east coast park but do they want to compete with Busch Gardens head to head?

A day at the park is what you make it!

Better question would be why would CF want 3 parks as close as PKI, CP and GL? *** Edited 3/11/2005 4:51:36 PM UTC by dragonoffrost***

Watch the tram car please....
CF always buys parks- doesn't build them. What park would they buy? I would doubt any new acquisitions th CF during the next few years (or more)

All Your Base Are Belong to Us.
Coasterguts, CF already has an east coast park: Dorney Park. As for CF wanting 3 parks so close together, think of it this way, Disney has four parks all within a few miles of one another and they seem to do just fine. The thing is, when you have so many parks so close together, you need to diversify the experience, and as it is now, the experiences between CP, PKI, and GL are all fairly different. CP is more focused for the extream thrill rides, GL is more family oriented, and PKI seems to be becoming more of a "theme" park with heavily themed attractions.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Ok I can see that, Thanks for the clarification Coaster Lover. I have been to CP but Not to PKI or GL... a fact i am planning to fix this summer when i want to hit all three.

I forgot about Dorney Park. I'm bad... :(
