Six Flags Commerical Question

Has anyone seen the Six Flags commercial with that looks to be a red and blue Vekoma Flying dutchman coaster? They show it all commerical long. Cut to something else then cut right back in.If so what park is that at cause I only know of 2 that are out there X-Flight and Batwing. Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
DMC

Superman, at both SFG and SFGAdv, is red and blue, but are B&M Flyers.

I don't recal the advert, but I can assure you about 97% that this is the ride you are talking about.

It is a clip from the commercial SFOG used when they first opened S:UF. I believe it is X-Flight, they just made the colors look like Superman.

I know for a fact its not a B&M. Odd that they would make a coaster a different color for a commerical.

Thanks,
DMC

Very odd that they would go through the trouble of recoloring the clip of a ride so it matches the color sceme of their new ride when some SF parks can't even show the right coasters in some of their commericals (lol).

I believe y'all, because I've never seen the ad.

Well at least they show a similar ride... unlike a certain S:ROS :P

Yeah Six Flags used it for SFoG before SUF was built and such for advertising (Merchandise and advertisements made before the ride opened). Since there were no B&M flyers around they had to use something close I guess.
What about Air?

Air opened 3/16/2002. Superman opened less than a month later on 4/6/2002. Not much lead time if you ask me.
oooh my bad... when I thought of SUF.. I thought of GADV and GAM which oppened in 03
....so glad i dont have to even bother with SF comercials anymore
That is defiently X-flgiht recolored. I've seen recoloring done before. Look at thsi photo:

it is soposed to be Superman Krypton Coaster. This is picture is is every park map. Yet it is really Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure:

(Same elements, different angle)

Sorry for being a nitpick, but that's not Medusa at SFGADV. In the recolored pic, the lift is facing a different way tan the regular Medusa pic. Also, if you are facing the corkscrews from that direction, you wouldn't see the dive loop in the background and the lift going up to the left. It would be going to the right. Again, sorry for nitpicking, but I'm kind of a stickler about GADV.

Well. it sure isnt SKC, since SKC's corkscrews are no where near the lift and the restraints are actually yellow, not red.

It looks like they just used a mirror image of the pic of Medusa at SFGADV...I don't know though.

Yeah, it looks liked a mirrored Medusa pic.
That most definately is originally a SFGAdv Medusa picture TwinsGP.
I wish I still had last year's BGW park map. I seem to recall there being a ride on the cover that didn't make sense, but I couldn't figure out why. I think it was a B&M floorless or something along those lines. Sorry for the ambiguity. This thread reminded me of another case of an out-of-place coaster in print.

CincyDJ...it *could* be a B&M floorless, since Busch has one in the chain....SWF has Kraken. Then again, obviously the parks wouldn't notice/care even if there wasn't one in the chain, LOL...

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Cincy Dj i have seen that before on maps or in commercials i think they do that just to make their park look more attractive. But who knows maybe its just something that they wish for and do not have.
