Jim Reid-Anderson, who shepherded the post-bankruptcy resurgence of the parent of Six Flags, will become the company’s executive chairman on Friday. He hands the roles of president and CEO to John Duffey, the chief financial officer.

“Many CEOs stay in their roles too long,” Reid-Anderson told analysts. “I don’t want to become that person.”
