Six Flags can't afford Marine World, what's next?

Apparently, Six Flags may not purchase Marine World. The plan was for it to finally change hands in Feb. but because of financial losses from all of their parks (SFMW actually had a major increase in attendance after Six Flags bought it) they are going to wait another year. Let's hope that Six Flags can turn things around...

Since it's actually a good deal for the city financially, perhaps it's a way for Six Flags to get projects through easier with the city. Ya think???

Yer makin' good money...wanna make more? Make an exception to that height/noise limit of yours..etc. etc.

It's good for the city, but bad for Six Flags. If they are spending tons of money on rides and especially promotion, but have to split the profits, they are losing money. I guess the final bill was a little too much, maybe they thought they were going to make $600,000 more in attendance than they did (the debt they still owe the city for full ownership).. However, the money saved can go to other parks, since when the buy Marine World they will have to leave most of the attendance revenue with Marine World...

Yeah, the height limit in the city is just plain ridiculous. Most of Vallejo is in a large valley, to the west is a bunch of industial chemical facilities (ugly), so I don't know what they are trying to accomplish.

I've never been to the park, but i would assume that it has some fantastic terrain to use for future coasters.....
