Six Flags Bring a Friend program

hey, i was wondering...i have heard that some Six Flags parks give out coupons or what not, allowing pass holders to bring someone into a park for free...i have an SFA pass, and its my first year with one, so im still kinda in the dark about all the perks...my question is, does this program really exist? and if so, does it only apply to your "home" SF park? or can i use my SFA pass at say SFGadv and still get a friend in free..thanks :)

When you get your pass processed, they give you a coupon book for the park. Around the middle of it are a number of coupons, which are only good at certain times (spring or fall weekends or certain summer weekdays). The passes are only good at SFA, but there is one 50% off any Six Flags property coupon good for upto 4 guests at any other SF park. Also, do yourself a favor, if you can get to the processing center this Saturday, do so. The lines for processing on opening day can get long.
That's exactly what I intend on doing,I'm getting my season pass "mug shot" done this weekend so I can avoid those long lines on opening day.As for bring a friend for free coupons if you upgrade your SFA pass to a premium pass you get 2 un restricted bring a friend free couppopns good for any operational day.
thanks guys, i appreciate the answers...unfortunatly, i have a family thing this saturday, so i dont think im going to be able to get up there to SFA before 6pm...i live in Richmond, so its a good 2 hour drive, even with little traffic, which is a joke in Northern VA, haha:) say i were to get to SFA opening day around 9am, would the pass center be open then, and would it be less crowded? thanks:)

Yes, the pass processing center will be open on opening day and if I remember how it went last year it may be rather busy, that's why I'm gonna get my pass processed this weekend as opposed to on opening day.If you were planning on driving up to SFA from Richmond you would have to hit the road rather early in the morning to get to the park by 9 am,you've got the 2 hour drive to get to the DC area to contend with plus the 35 to 45 minute drive from there to the park so I highly recommend an early start.
The bring a friend thing may sound good and all, but parks usually get even more mobbed than they already are when these passes go into effect.

SFNE Freak's right on that one,as if it weren't crowded enough at SFA on a saturday without everyone showing up with free addmission coupons for friends, and all of them showing up on opening day no less.

The best tactics for processing you season pass on opening day are to do one of two things:

1) Be the first one through the gate and get to the processing center right away. It's to the right by the stroller rentals.

2) Go ahead and enjoy the park for several hours then go back to the processing center later in the day. It slows down quite a bit by then. That's what I did last year since I live over and hour from the park.
