Six Flags America review

Associated parks:
None

I went to Sfa about a month ago but didnt have time to post this yet so i'm sorry its late. I began the 4 hour drive on a monday and got to the park about 11. I got there later then expected because i got lost but saw Superman over the trees and found the park. The ticket lines were long but i have a Great Adventure season pass so i went to the pass line which took about 20 mins which was long compared to Great Adventure. I began my walk to the first coaster i saw which was Roar. It was a great ride and very smooth just like Lightning Racer at HP. i love the way it has no straight track. After purchasing my on ride photo i was going to ride again because it was a walk on but decided not to. Next i went to the swinging ship which was also a walk on. This was definatly the best ship i was ever on it had great airtime. Next i headed to Typhoon The Sea Coaster and waited about 5 mins and it got stuck on the lift so i decided to come back later. After that it was on to Wild One which was a walk on and i was really impressed with this wood. It was alot smoother then i expected and had a great drop under Typhoon and a great helix. Next i moved on to Twoface The Flipside. i expected a better entrance for a super villian coaster but the entrance is ok. This was yet another walk on and i thought the ride was great. A little bit of head banging but still a fun ride. I decided to take it easy for a while and rest while i decided where to go next. i finally decided to go ride Twoface again but sit backwards first this time. The ride was the same exept i dont know how but thought it was smoother backwards first. Next i rode Great Chase and was surprised that they let me on and when they did how fun it was. That was yet my fourth walk on that day. I decided to eat at Subways near Twoface. The food sucked but wasnt really that bad if i think about it. Next i rode the cups which was boring but i rode it to relax. Next it was off to Superman which was having problems and was shut down so instead of waiting for it to be fixed i went to Batwing. Batwings line was about an hour and a half but i got the back seat and loved the ride. i thought it was a little rough though. i got my on ride photo and went back to Superman. this was about a 10 min wait but i got the back seat and liked the ride but thought it was very rough for an intamin and that ruined it. i think Nitro is way better. i also got stapled which didnt help. i went through the awesome air conditioned photo booth and got my photo. I passed Joker and didnt want to ride because of head banging so instead went to Mind Eraser. It was a walk on but the ride was very fun. Some headbanging on the side but it was worth it and not painful. After looking at Typhoons line i went to Joker to get my head ache. The entrance could have been better but was better then most at America. It was about a 5 min wait and i was surprised at the launch there was no warning. The launch was weak and the ride was slow with little head banging but the end was fast and all head banging but it didnt hurt because of padding. i got my photo and went to Typhhon. The wait was an hour but i loved the ride and the way it cooled me off. After changing cloths i began my 4 hour trip home after a great day at SFA.
I think you would've enjoyed Superman a lot better if you hadn't been stapled. It provides amazing airtime when the lapbar isn't all the way down. You know you can complain if the lapbar is too tight. Sure, it's embarassing, but you get a more comfortable ride as a result. I agree it is a little rough, but not in a way that causes any pain. By the way, I've heard several people who've ridden Nitro say they like this better. Oh well, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Batwing-Bow Down
glad you had fun at SFA....i recently went to SFGAdv last week....really enjoyed nitro..got to ride it at night...next time your at SFA, ride superman in the front seat...different story..its tons smoother than the front. but to kinda agree with intamin fan, i do like superman better than nitro...nitro seems to slow down a lot into the spiral...but in good arguement, nothing beats that hammerhead turn on Nitro :)

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!

You went on High Seas! I loved that ride! :)

Ride op for FoF: "See ya!" Wooooosh!
Hey this Superman is NOT ROUGHT!!! If you rode nitro in the back seat, i bet it'd get a bit rough too. I agree the back in superman ros is rough, but what ride isnt? I have ridden in the middle and front, and it is as smooth as silk!

The only truly good roller coaster: Six Flags Ameerica's Superman Ride of Steel
I was at SFA 3 weeks ago and I found it to be ok, it reminded me SFDL a little although SFDL is in dire need of some more thrill rides compared to SFA I guess it's ok I live in OHIO so you know what I'm use to! *** This post was edited by Mr. Mouse on 7/25/2001. ***
Superman is definitely smooth compared to many other coasters, but it is a little rough in the second helix. Other than that, it is awesome!
