Six Flags America was evacuated Saturday afternoon after an unspecified phone threat, but a security sweep of the park turned up nothing suspicious, Prince George’s County police said. It remained closed until Sunday.

I think you're on to something, Bunk. He did sound like he had a mouthful of gravy...

One thing the article failed to mention was that the park was closed for "a private event" that day. Check out the park schedule and you will see that it was closed on Saturday Sept.10th and 17th.(CLOSED)

I forgot about that fact and actually showed up only to be turned away at the gate. (National Lampoons Vacation popped right into my head Sorry Folks... Parks closed.)

Here's my question that I would love to know... "How much does it cost to rent Six Flags for an entire day?" Throw in the fact that it was a Saturday as well. It's gotta be a fortune to rent that place, right? When it comes down to it Six Flags is a business and they are surely not going to lose any money in the deal.

I imagine whoever rented that place was pissed off that they were forced to leave after just 3 hours!

A. The park likely has interruption-of-business insurance.

B. The group that was inconvenienced was almost certainly compensated.
