Six Flags America 8/5 I Love This Place!

Associated parks:
None

I have no clue why most people don't like Six Flags America. This park is wonderful. It is so good I am making a return trip there the 18th.

I'm just going to rate the coasters on this TR with a scale that ranges from -3 to +5 with 0 being a marginally OK rating.

Superman: ROS +5!!!(3 laps)-This ride is perfect in every aspect. Me and my friend got 3 laps in on this monster. Once in the back, once in the front, and once in row 3. This is an air-time gem!!! Airtime over every hill, 2 great helices, and great speed make this coaster my new #1!!!

Jokers Jinx +3(4 laps)- I absolutely love this ride. It was only rough in maybe the first inversion and that was it. A great launch combined with an extremely convuluted track layout.

Roar +4(1 lap) My 2nd favorite woody. GCI is the king of wooden coasters in my opinion. This ride is so fast and so twisted...and not as rough as most woodies.

Wild One -1 (1 lap) This is the only ride in the park I could do without. It isn't very fast at all. I barely got any air-time sitting in the back-row. A dissapointment which came as a surprise after riding all the other great coasters here.

Mind Eraser 0 (2 laps) Just another Vekoma SLC, when I rode in the front, it was so smooth. Then I got a seat in the middle, and it felt a lot rougher. Still, not a bad ride. The inversion elements are very cool.

Unfortunately, Two-Face wasn't running...Hopefully next week it will be, as I have never been on an Invertigo.

All in all, I had a great day at Six Flags America. It gave me a new #1 coaster, and all the other coasters were excellen too(except for Wild One), good weather, ok food, and a fun atmosphere made my trip to Six Flags America a blast.

I also love SFA. Sure the employees are slow and it is little small for Six Flags, but still that can't take away from the roller coasters. The stats might not be that impressive, but the designs are good and fun.

Getting stuck on the lift for the first Superman chain break aside, my problem with the park is that nothing was open when I was there. Only a hand full of flat rides were open, that cool water ride was closed, dispatches on Face-Off took as long as ten minutes (mind you it was 92 degrees that day), the food was nasty and over-priced, there isn't a hint of shade in Gotham City... I could go on.

The only redeeming qualities of the park are Superman, Roar and Joker's Jinx. Another example of world-class rides set in a substandard park.

Well I admit that I have gone on pretty good days. I have a season pass and I have gone 9 times so far and most of the most it was raining, scheduled to rain, or has rained in the past few days. So there will not be much lines or it wouldn't be too hot.

Also another thing is that the Mind Eraser and Two-Face the Flip Side are WAY underated.

So Korn, you went to SFA this past weekend huh? Sorry I was out of town and couldnt catch up with you. One of my college buddies is going to be here this week and I'm taking him to SFA Friday. If your going to be around, give me a holla hostyl1@rollercoaster.com (I dont always check my hotmail account, too much junk mail). Anyway, Jeff, things have gotten much better at the park as more of the rides are now open (plus many ppl flock to the water park). The GC shade thing still sucks though...
Hey Hostyl..I'm going to be at America this friday...e-mail me at bsbsuxx21@aol.com if you will be around.

According to your track record, you have been on several. Including Two Face.

Gotta ride 'em all!

Yeah, and not to be picky, but you list Invertigo at PGA (twice) in your track record as well. I believe that's considered an Invertigo ...

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
I may also be at SFA on 8/18 if I get some ride partners. Drop me a line here. Sorry, I don't like to give out my e-mail adress on open forums directly, you never know whos out there.
Wild One, I'll definitely be at SFA on 8/18 with a friend. If you still plan on going, drop me a line at bsbsuxx21@aol.com and we can figure ot a place to meet or somthing.
