Sim Coaster screen shots released

Too bad it looks so cartoonish. I'll stick with RCT. Never cared much for the theme park series.

I agree fully Shady Z. I bought Sim Theme Park after it came out and thought it was lacking in every way. RCT is still the theme park and coaster simulation king as far as I'm concerned. The Sim series is very cartoonish, very unrealistic and plays like crap on my computer anyways. This is just my opinion. Peace. :)

same here! the coasters don't even have real looking track! and I can't even tell if something is a ride and wat is ^ with the little monkeys!?


RCT 4 EVER!

Once I heard the name. "Sim Coaster", I thought it would be pretty neat and have nice graphics like SimCity, but i saw one screenshot and I knew I was wrong, I'm stickin with RCT as well.

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!

I loved Sim Theme Park when it first came out. I was playing that for hours. However... as the weeks past, I kind of got tired of the game. I then found myself resorting back to RollerCoaster Tycoon even though I have had that game for many months before!

Today, I am still playing RCT more than ever while SimTheme Park gathers dust on my shelf. Not that it's a bad game (I loved the 1st person view, but sighed that I couldn't interact with the games & food stands), but it was too cartoony, too much with that tutorial character, too heavy for my system when the park got too crowded, and worst of all...

The coaster physics blew big time! I'd like to make a mistake in my coaster building and have to work on it for it to function correctly (like RCT). I don't want a coaster that is picture perfect every time. I heard Sim Coaster is going to be the same way. I just hope the realism of the coasters is better. I don't care about business management as much as building a cool park with realistic coasters.

But you sure can't beat riding your creations!!! That is what makes the Sim series worth waiting for (Are you listening RCT?).

The one thing that I tink that Sim Theme Park had over RCT is the coaster deigning program. I liked it how you could control each pylon and how you could have custom sized loops but other than that the rest of the game was horrible. RCT is still the best in my book.

I was thinking about getting simcoaster. after the comments on this page, I have reconsidered.

I will just save my money for the next RCT.

MUUUUUUUUCH easier said than done.

unfortuantely Elroy... only bout 10% of the population has a super-computer good enough to run a game like that. I know I don't, nor the money to buy one. But yes, that is the future coaster game, and hopefully it's the near future.

Nevertheless, although RCT has been my only experience, I have never been so completely addicted to the computer as this has made me, and I don't see that happening with anything else.
