Silver Star has pulled off a 'Nitro!'

I checked the webcam & nearly fell off my seat. Then checked the main page, there's a new rendering up. Certainly nothing like the concept drawing & from Fright Time. The last link also shows a top view of the layout which fits exactly.
Yeah, what happened to that big flat section that was supposed to be at the top of the lift hill? The webcam clearly shows that at the crest of the lift hill, it immediately plunges downward, like Nitro.
You obviously didnt hear about this then, Its been known to some/Most People that this would happen and that Silver Star was indeed going to have this change and be a Nitro Clone, but slighty taller.
The First Plans was for that flat section of track to be at the top, but Europa suddenly changed their minds, and decided to go with a nitro style drop instead, I'm glad, as that flat section of track looked rubbish to me,
Ah those biters.....:)
So what exactly is Mercedes link to that project? Is it just an ad/sponsership thing, or is it some odd theme?
What's Mercedes logo?  A silver star?  Hmmmm?  I hope we don't see more trends of corporate named coasters, even though I think Silver Star isn't so bad.  ...imagine, the Yahoo! Coaster or Coasterbuzz: The Ride ;-P

New photos of the drop are up. Check out the mutant track from halfway down, you'll see what I mean. :)
Yikes!   Those new drop pieces are so BIG.  If it is still going over the parking lot then I understand why but if it isn't then I have no clue.

The Yankees are still #1

How tall is this coaster suppose to be?
-----------------
249 according to RCDB, with a 210 drop......its actually slower than Nitro (1.1 mph) ..Interesting

Is it just me or does SS have a shortage of supports? B&M track must be way stronger than I thought, a 9 car train weighs at least 27 tons.

Yeah, it looks like the same story (lack of supports) with the monster track at the bottom of the track. If the train hits 4G, it will weigh 108 tons!

I for one love the flat section on Beemers.  It adds a bit more excitement to the drop, especially in the back.  On Raging Bull, there's nothing like watchin each of the rows in front of you dissapear until it's your turn to plummett.  Just my 3 cents.. ;)
