Silver Dollar City announces the tallest, steepest and fastest spinning roller coaster.

Oh heck. For a second I got all excited and thought that SDC had finally announced their new ride, bound to replace Fire in the Hole. Then I thought wait a minute… don’t they already have a ride with that name? Then Oh Duh! This is a resurrected thread…
And that’s fine, that’s on me, but the fun thing was to read through the old comments in regard to the announcement of Time Traveler. Many of us, myself included, denounced the ride as nauseating, unrideable, and basically a bad idea. Then in the meantime I had the opportunity to attend the spring enthusiast meeting back then planned around the ride’s opening and I couldn’t get enough of it. I rode it many, many times and occasionally got a little grouchy because it didn’t spin quite enough for me. So there ya go. A very telling lesson on why we shouldn’t collectively jump the gun with these things, lol.
I’m glad your trip to SDC was rewarding. It’s one of my favorite parks on the planet and I consider it to be darned near perfect.

What’s funny though, it’s so smooth and flows so well you never really get that scared sh*tless moment you get on a lot of other coasters.
I have not been on Time Traveler, but man... Ride to Happiness is next level. You get PLENTY of that scared sh*tless moments, the thing is insane. If I recall, they removed the spinning magnet limiter on RtH that Time Traveler has, among having a far more insane layout to boot not being the prototype.
There is a reason RtH tends to be a top coaster for most who experience it. They need to build many more of these things.

thanks. We had great time. Agree that it’s pretty much the perfect theme park. I hope that never changes.
The more I think about it, Time Traveler was a great ride That first drop out of the gate was insane. It definitely doesn’t crazy spin as much as most think it probably does. But SDC probably wanted more of a ‘family ride’ feeling
