As opening day nears, Silver Bullet is testing before and after operating hours. The queue has been set up and final touches are being made to the station and on-ride photo booth. Photos and video of the ride cycling have been added to ACN.

I can't get on the site.
I can deal with the drop. Apart from Raptor, I don't think any of the drops on inverteds that I've ridden were all that anyway. Site doesn't work for me either...sUxoRz
I'm really sorry about the downtime, dedicated server is giving me problems and Ev1Server's tech support are morons. Hopefully they will get it resolved ASAP.

Ram was faulty and was just replaced... file system check is running now, should be up shortly. Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvienence.

I guess I was lucky, did get in and saw the video. But now it's down again. In any case, video was at night and kinda grainy, but cool to finally see SB in action nonetheless.

Did look pretty slow though, but I know even B&M's need time to break in, which is why I'll be waiting till January for my first flights! Was I seeing things, or were there actually people riding in the front seat? I pretty sure I saw legs dangling, so much for the coveted first rides.

First riders are the first "public" riders, even though Im sure about a thousand or more people will ride before them. Employees and ride crew and engineers and construction workers will ALL ride before the "first riders."*** This post was edited by sfmm4444 11/17/2004 3:50:24 PM ***

We are ALL first riders in some way, shape, or form. That's because we are all unique and special in our own way. ;)
Site is still down for me, btw.

But RCPro has a new update with a video as well. Check it out. The ride looks awesome!

Sorry about that... I ended up getting swapped to a different server. Site is now up.

NOw all they have to do is finish the queue, fill the lake, prepare the groundwork [plants, etc] and we're ready to roll! Dec 11th can't come soon enough -- and yeah, I know it opens on the 7th!
In the photos what is that thing that looks like a giant hamster wheel? I'm guessing it's to inspect the track. If it is used to inspect the trck then do other B&M inverts have one too or is it a new thing? Whatever it is I sure would like to ride in one!
It is a maintenance cart that they can steer around the track. They actually tried to steer it up the loop, but it never made it.

The cobra roll and overbank did seem a bit slow, but remember that the train is empty (minus the few in the front row, didn't see any water dummies). Raptor runs pretty slow when it's empty too.
/\ "Seem a bit slow"? Don't let those games out there get you thinking those elements are supposed to be navigated any faster than that. That looked like a reasonable speed. That looked just about as fast as Raptor and Batman The Ride (from seeing them in person).

If the intensity of SB is in the ballpark of your favorite B:TR, then it's a winner. There's nothing better than a ride that can keep it's speed until the end.
I've seen Silver Bullet cycle in person and it hauls over the loop and overbank.
Silver Bullet is opening in two days... more than two weeks ahead of schedule :D
