Signatures in posts: Is yours too long?

Bandwidth is more plentiful these days, and Usenet might as well be dead, but I wanted to remind people that it is generally considered bad form to make a signature that is more than three lines long. One day, posts with longer signatures may start to disappear.

While on the subject, I don't care if you put your site's URL in your sig, but please drop promo language like, "The best site for cheese and crackers."

In spite of Jeff's protestations to the contrary, mine still doesn't work right, as the font is still proportional. Furthermore, it seems that I do most of my posting from home using Lynx, so the signature is just in the way anyhow (Lynx text boxes are nasty!). So I think mine will simply vanish, either that or I'll do a website promo or something. :)
