Shuttle Loopers, how many are left?

Seems like a lot of Six Flags had their shuttle loopers removed to make room for B:TR. I know SFGAm did.

The one I remember was the Screamin' Demon at King's Island. It was built in the mid 70's. We thought there couldn't be a more exciting ride. This was a good 5 years before the Beast. It stood between where Face-Off and Drop Zone are now. I remember the line being tremendously long and when you started up the 5 flights of stairs, you got more excited with each step. Once The Beast was built in 79, hardly anyone rode The Screamin' Demon.

I heard the same thing about a woman falling out of her harness on Afterburner, so it's probabl y not true.

Hey 2Hostyl, the Python is still in Sis Flags America, only it is not running and it is in pieces around S:ROS. I have heard rumors about it turning into an underground batcave.

Yes, Knotts still has Montezumas Revenge. One of the greats, as there is no slow down what so ever as you fly backwards through the station.

Does anyone know where the shuttle coaster The Double O from the defunct Boardwalk and Baseball was relocated?

c-genius: Thanks for the info, but I already knew that. Back when I wrote the above reply (in July) I had only been to SFA once. After several more visits, I've actually seen the old Python track (it's stored behind S:ROS). I do hove they enclose it (and add an elevator =]).

the King Cobra I think was relocated to Alton Towers in the UK, and was afterwards removed to Hopi Hari (Graet Adventure) in Brazil where it now runs as Katapul. *** This post was edited by Tejott on 11/4/2000. ***

The Double O from Boardwalk and Baseball was relocated to Fun Spotwere it operates as Afterburner, I think it has been mentioned already above.
The Double O operated under different names in Florida. Finally till 1990 it had the name Zoomerang

Paramont's Great America has one. It used to be either Tidal Wave or just The Wave, now it is Greese Lightning
