Shouldn't Griffon be a flying coaster?

Honestly, the Griffon is a FLYING beast. Wouldn't it be sweet to have a flying vertical dive coaster? Intense... also they should make a stand up virtical dive called 'Suicide Jumper'. Lol, like that'll happen.

Also, has anyone ever thought of an acrophobia type of coaster? You know, a stand-up floorless?

I would never ride the last idea you thought of. I think a flying dive coaster would be good... however I don't think the human body could endure the forces that would come about at the bottom of the pull out of the first drop in the under the track position. I think it could work if the trains were over the track like on the Vekoma flyers. The drop will would then feel similar to the feel achieved on the bottom curved parts of the pretzel loops as seen on Tatsu. The typical immelmans have the first drop (sorry if i mis-spelled that) could then be used to to convert the riders from the lie to fly position. I think that the only way for the under the track position to work is if the pull out is very very very gradual which would take away from / shorten the amount of length of the 90 degree vertical segments of track.

In that case, shouldn't every coaster themed to a flying creature be a flying coaster?

No thanks. The prone position is fun. Once.

Yeah, it's called a High-Seat, trust me it's not fun ;)

Honestly, I think that there have been some crappy topics up here latley, this one and the Geuaga Lake ones, I am not a total long time Coasterbuzzer, about to crack my first full year in November, but recently there has seemed to be a spike in random topics which seems to be against the coaster buzz rules. Just my own opinion.

This is why people like you aren't ride designers.

You obviously did not comprehend the 4.2 G's that would be going straight to your crotch.

Yes, Ken....you know...Barbie's dude. But then he realized that the rest of us have balls and other things and the idea was quickly nixed.
