No one knows, not even SFMM. There are too many variables in constructing and testing a first of a kind ride.
My answer: I hope so!!

It's going vertical this week. Eight weeks construction a testing period two weeks. My educated guess it will open the last week of July or the first week of Augest.
I say it will be done by the time you go to MM.
Boy I am going on the first day of August, looks like its gonna be close!
No one can be sure. When it's ready, I'm sure we'll be the first to know.
It should open in July.

Date I'm still hearing from the park and public relations is July 4th. Hopefully. That's their goal but they don't know if they're going to make that or not. Even if a bit late though, they should still have it up and going before you get there in August, unless things really fall apart.

Willow? Yes, my name is Willow. Would you stop pecking on me on this big droooopppppppppp......
This is the answer from SFMM when i e-mailed them to ask if X will be open in early september, when we'll visit:
"Hello, certainly should be; although we do not have a scheduled opening date yet, it is supposed to be early-mid summer."
July 4th you say? Hmmmm, just about the same day California Adventure opens Disney's Electrical Parade. How coincidental ;)

Don't you guys know the equation for coaster openings at SFMM yet?...Take the date or month the ride is supposed to or is figured to open. Multiply that by the square root of the sum of the height and length of the coaster, subtract three times the parks age (since opening), divide by entrace fee, and add 100 days. That should be accurate to about an interval of 6 months. Calculations like these are not simple, and are very time consuming. Donations for my time invested to give this information are gladley accepted. E-mail me for more details.

Ghostrider = good
huh?
Sfmm has an email address?
the supports for the lift hill should be up by this weekend..maybe even some track if were lucky!,besides X, i got some other good news..BOTH TOWERS FOR DEJA VU' are complete!,woo hoo
I went by the park earlier today. Deja Vu is indeed complete and it looks drop dead terrific! now that I have seen the finished project with my own eyes this is certainly one of the most anticipated rides of the year.
X HAS started verticle construction. The Station and turn out of the station is going up and going up fast!
It's funny, while everyone was so busy whining about the slow progress of these coasters, SFMM shut everybody up by catching up with both SFOG and SFGAm. The X construction is going to fly!!!

Deja Vu is done, X is up...man, I tell ya, pretty soon I'll have to be making trip plans to my cousins house down south. Just thinking about Deja Vu and X is filling me with anticipation. Especially for Deja Vu, that coaster looks completely awesome. Peace. :)
I was truly awe-inspiring to see how fast Deja Vu went up. And I'm sure X will go up in record time also.
You can check out pics of the completed Deja Vu and X's vertical construction at my site...
