Should I stop and ride the Cyclone?

Hey all...as I've mentioned before, I'm going to SFGAdv on Monday. It occurred to me that I could get to Astroland to ride the Cyclone the next day. Is it worth the 2 hour drive, and not getting home 'till 6 that day to ride a legend? I'm beginning to think it is, but I really don't want to drive through NYC at that time. So, do you think I should go? I've never been on the Cyclone before.

Ride it! It's the most famous coaster in the entire World!

Do the Cyclone.
I will be in the same "predicament" in late August, visiting SFGAdv on a weekday, first time. I have not been on Cyclone, so since NYC is on the way home, I will make the time to ride that sucker! If I don't, I know I will regret it for a long time.

I know you rider Gonna miss me when I'm gone
Well, I live in central PA, about 2 1/2 hrs from Great Adventure and 4 from NYC and the Cyclone.

Of the two locations, I am trying to figure out how to make a Cyclone tryp while I could really care less about Great Adventure... so I think my opinions are a bit biased.

"Resistance is futile... you will be assimilated." The BORG's (and Six Flags') motto.
Go ahead! after all, it is called the true wooden coaster! (or something like that) :)
All right...I think I'm going to go. Now I just have two questions?

1) Is there a big wait for the Cyclone, or is it pretty much a 5-10 minute deal?

2) Where can I park?

Waits are, at the most, a couple of trains. Rides
cost $5.00 a piece, with re-rides costing $4.00.
You can park in the Aquarium lot, for $14.00 or
$15.00 bucks, and it's *secured* parking that
includes admission to a beautiful museum!

Don't forget to check out the B&B Carousel across
the street; it has brass rings, the world famous
Wonder Wheel, the BEST modern bumper cars;
Eldorado Bumper Cars- ''Bump, Bump, Bump yer
ass off!!'', and Dante's Inferno is damn good dark
ride.

Have fun in Coney!

Heck yeah!!! It's awesome, and much better than probably the whole time you'll spend at SFGAdventure... And go to CBGB's on the lower east side of Manhattan - a piece of rock history :> Don't miss the Cyclone though, and the Wonder Wheel will be the most frightening experience of your life!

Ow! My lap bar IS down all the way.
100% definitely ride the Coney Island Cyclone. It is easily my favorite wooden coaster. It is literally NON STOP AIRTIME. This coaster defines airtime. Not only that, but it's a great atmosphere there. The classsic rolling stock is great... big leather cushoned seats, not something you see alot of today. And about the wait, I was there on July 4th last year and there was not even a train wait, it was walk on every time! Have fun!
