Should I go to SFoG this Saturday??

It is supposed to rain on Saturday. Would it be a good day to go? Or will the crowds be large like the other Saturdays??

Weather forecasts beyond 1 day are unreliable. Make your decision on Thursday or Friday.

Or go if its raining and you'll get an empty park all to yourself:)

Want to know if it's going to rain? Look around on the ground. If you see several ant-hills, then it *is* going to rain (severity of rain varies). It works, trust me. I've been watching this since about 7 grade (science project) and it's yet to fail (it always rain within 2 days).

If it's raining, then Cyclone and GASM will be awsome to ride and you'll have very short lines to ride S:UF thru the storm. Even if it doesn't rain, forecast likes this always make the GP want to stay home because off a slight chance of a shower. Coaster are a lot more run during a night storm, I've done it on Mindmender at night during a shower, the ride was three times better.

Remember, even the slightest rains shut down Scorcher, Batman, Acro, and SUF. GASM shuts down earlier than Cyclone usually, it doesn't handle rain as well.

Even if it is rainy, crowds will still come. Try Sunday instead.

no.

well, maybe...

yes. definitely.

;)

Actually, Batman runs in the rain. I was there once during a moderate rain, and nearly all coasters but the Cyclone and Batman were running. Even Mindbender was closed down.

As a side note, the weather forecast no longer calls for rain on Saturday.

Batman stays open longer than Mindbender does because of its covered brakes, but moderate rain and lightning will shut it down pretty quickly.
I have to say, batman almost runs in anything. One time while in line for mindbender it began to pour. I dont know if the ride-ops werent thinking or what but through the rain we could hear the infamous roar and it never stopped. They ran it the whole time while it rained.
If you can, wait a week and go next Friday (May 17). The park is open eventhough school is still in. DO NOT go May 18 (Sat. and Sugar Ray concert) unless you will go and ride while everyone is at the concert.

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.
