Should Disneyland bring back People Movers. I say they should put back the old cars and modify the conections to it to fit the now defunct Rocket rods tracks. sound good to anyone?
------------- elevated track in the sky is the only way to fly.
YEAH! I loved the People Movers. I remember the Tron part. That part freaked me out when I was like 6 or 7. I really loved it because it never had a line. Plus I like to go on that way I could go on the little escelators(SP?) :) -----------------
The PeopleMover was removed because it did not go with the retro theming of Tomorrowland when it was remodeled, not to mention it had suffered several major breakdowns and couple of fires.
I really would like to see them again, they were a favorite childhood memory of mine. That and the buckets. When going through the Matterhorn, when I was 3, I would always duck because I was afraid of the snow monster guy. Now I live in Ohio and when we visited a few years ago, I was disapointed to see both the buckets and people mover gone. BTW what were the rocket rods?
the rocket rods were on the people mover track except they were like Test Track at Epcot they were supposed to go really fast even though they only went about 35 mph and they slowed down on every turn because they were too lazy to bank them and it broke down all the time and the lines were long for such a stupid ride it was themed to a "new transportation system" it sucked so much that disney took it out
I actualy enjoyed RocketRods more then the people mover(i am not trying to start a fight here) but i thought the people mover was lame, i know it wasnt meant to be like Space Mtn. or anyhting, but it just took up valuable ridin time -----------------
i thought the same thing, the only part of the people mover i liked is where it went through space mountain
Rocket Rods couldve been a really great ride if they had spent the money to do it right, i liked it, it just slowed down too much
I agree. some point it could have gone alot faster and still be safe. ----------------- We are the few, The proud, We are the ride Engineers!!!!! As Ralph wiggam once said, "everybodys hugging"
I really wish they would bring the People Movers back. It was a great way to relax without having to stand in a 30 minute line like most of the other slow rides at Disneyland. The Tron section was just cool. What a great ride!
The People Mover was great. I loved how it weaved through the woods at a leisurely pace. Perhaps they could expand it to stop at each of the lands. ----------------- Yeeee Haaawwww!
I think they should bring them back. It was a nice, slow ride. Plus I was with my dad on it and we saw $20 on the side of the track, so we went on again, put our feet in the door to keep it open, reached over when we got to the money, and took it! I will never forget that, it was so funny! ----------------- King of the Hill: "Bobby, you need to think about what your going to do with your future." "ok, can we go to Six Flags?"
