Shooting at SFA (6/5)

I was just watching the 10:00 News on Washington Fox 5 News. There was a shooting in the parking lot just outside the gates of SFA. No news article is up as of 10:10 but I'm sure one will be up tommorow.

This is pretty sad, that we can't even go to an amusment park without having to worry about flying bullets. But it is eastern DC in PGC, what did you expect. This area has always had bad crime levels. Shame to see that SFA has been doing a great time all year and then this happens.

*sigh* the amusement park is one place where people go to forget their worries and have a good time. Why can't the troublemakers stay on the streets, or better yet shape up their act all-together.
<insert joke about SFA becoming the new SFMM here>

ok, bad taste...sorry! In all seriousness, thats sad, and as a former Baltimore-ian it's all too common!

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
But I thought SFGADV was becoming the new SFMM!

I can make those jokes, as SFA's as much of a home park as I have.

I want to live where it's all the same. I want to live where it's all just like today. I want to live where it's always Saturday.
The shooting was not at Six Flags but in Largo MD at an intersection in the vacinity of Six Flags America.

It's in freakin' Baltimore - What'dya expect?
SF is closer to Washington, D.C. than Baltimore. D.C. is about 10 miles to the West while Baltimore is 30 miles to the North. If you read this story, it sounds more like a case of road rage:

If you listened to the story on the radio, you would know the altercation took place while leaving the parking lot. Goes to show not even the media can get the story right.

A day at the park is what you make it!

That's unfortunate to hear. I was suppose to go to SFA today and I hear this disturbing news. Well I hope my bestfriend and his class are safe today since im not able to go, but it has nothing to do with this incident.

To me it sounds like road rage and really has nothing to do with the park. It was just in their parking lot. Since it did come up as shots fired at SFA, some people will not return soon. It just makes the park look bad. Plus the person or people have not been caught yet.

I don't know ALL the Facts!!!!!!
For the latest details you can read this article:

I can see the new marketing campaign now...

"Faster than a speeding bullet in Largo... it's a bird, it's a plane... it's Superman the Ride."

There was 2 shooting last night in MD. One at the park and one on a road near the park. People seem to confuse the two.

Thanks,
DMC

Oh well. That's the area for you. It didn't actually occur in the park, so people should not worry.

Knoebels- 4/28

Crashmando was right, there was one on a road near the park and one was acually in the parking lot, not the park, but the lot. It's still something to worry about, I wouldn't want a stray bullet flying through my parked car, no way! its still something to worry about.

This type of stuff is happening more and more in neighborhoods across the country. This same shooting could have happened at BGW just as easily.

A day at the park is what you make it!
