"ShiveringTim" featured on TLC...

Tonight at 8:00pm EDT, which means you've already missed it, TLC has a program on amusement parks. Included is footage of Sean Flaharty and Scott Short (known to CoasterBuzz and Guide to the Point as ShivringTim) riding Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

If you've already missed it, fear not: if memory serves, the re-feed should come down at 11:00pm EDT.

Was there any Desperado footage on? I did a shoot a LONG time ago for Desperado and I have yet to see it air. Hope it wasn't anything I did. LOL

Yeah. They showed a few ACE members riding Desperado. I think they were showing the effect of rides on your pulse rate.

A question hehe, I was wondering this, where did you (or the other guy) get that B&M shirt? :)

TLC pulled a fast one here on the west coast. They did not repeat the show at 11:00 here, instead showing another coaster show that has aired before. So we'll try again on the 19th.
Shivering Tim, thats pretty cool how you got to be on TLC and everything, but how could you not put your hands up on the first drop of Goliath? You put them up after you went through the tunnel, but not on the first drop. You did the "poser" thing like the people who don't put their hands up on the first drop of Millennium Force, but they put them up on the final turn of the ride so they think they look cool going by all the people in line. Being a coaster enthusiast and member of Coasterbuzz and GTTP I would of thought better of you.

tsk tsk tsk

Why should it matter if I had my hands up or not? If you've ever ridden anything with me, you'd know that I rarely put my hands up. Plus, the directors said that we should be riding Goliath for the "first time" each of our six times riding, so my limited acting experience (4th grade play) told me to keep my hands down and scream a lot, something else I rarely do on a ride.

To be honest, I take offense to the "poser" remark. Am I a poser because I choose to keep my hands down?? Well, I guess everyone who attended this year's Stark Raven Mad are as well.

To answer the other question, no I wasn't in the B&M shirt (if you haven't figured it out by now).

IOArules: That was a pretty stupid and insulting thing to say to someone who has been on twice as many coasters as you. Say you're sorry.
