Shivering Timbers at night

Everyone always talks about coasters like Raven, Legend, and Beast at night, right? Well I was wondering what is ST like at night? I've only ridden it during the day and this year at Timberfest I hope to ride it at night. So to anyone who already has *cough* ST chick *cough* whats it like?

Just can't be the same considering it is just out in a field.

What makes those other coasters so great at night is their flights through the woods.  The Beats is truly a religious experience at night Unbelievable.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

Like virtually all other coasters, ST's experience is greatly enhanced at night. If I had to compare it to another coaster at night, it would be Magnum. Not many people talk about night rides on Timbers as they do about such rides on other coasters because they are not given as frequently (only at TFEST because of noise regulations). I really don't know how to describe the ride...it's so amazing. The drops seem to go on forever, which seemingly increases the airtime effect drastically. There's nothing like being half a mile away from the station (and the rest of civilization) in the darkness. On the run back it's like safety when you see the station lights again :). You just have to do it!

Timbers is very, very good at night, but the difference between night and day isn't as drastic as say, Legend.  Any coaster, IMO, is better at night, and Timbers follows that tradition. 

Unfortunately, this year, it looks as though I am going to miss TimbersFest.  It is the day before Coaster Con, which is the day I plan to fly out to California.  Oh, well.  I will probably go to MA on my SRM trip, so I will still hit Timbers this year!

Score! I can't wait until my 6hr drive Timbers Fest experience. I've already talked to Kara and she said it will be worth it, so now I'm excited!

I can't wait till Timbers Fest Now.  Also is Cedar Fair gonna keep MA open longer in the next few years.  I thought I read somewhere they were gonna try and install some more lighting and try to convince the neighbors.  Does anyone know anymore about this?
