I know it is *probably* to early to be asking...but I am posting this in hopes that we have an inside source somewhere in this forum. Does anybody know if Shipwreck Falls will have a bridge to stand on, like Snake River Falls at Cedar Point? Every park I've seen with this type of ride has a bridge you can stand on to get splashed as the ride hits the water.
I am hoping it will.
Most of the "chutes the chute" rides have bridges, its like a way to fell how good the water fells so they will go in line even if the line is pretty long like SRF.
I think that the ride will not have one becuase if you look at the fairly detailed concept art at: http://www.sixflagsmedia.com/images/downloads/rndg-HHarbor-W.jpg it does not show the bridge. On a side bar the rides name is just Shipwreck Falls without the ed.
I saw that a while ago, and was thinking the same thing. That illustration isn't very detailed, so I think it would probably still have it. The ride will be 10 times better with a bridge. This way, people who are afraid to ride can watch their friends or family come down the falls, and get wet at the same time.
The plunge rides at BGW and Kennywood have no actual bridge but they each have platforms where those wanting to catch some of the splash can do so.
Well, i was looking at that detailed drawing with my old boss the other day and we were talking about two things about the SWF. (1)the entrance to the ride is not represented on the pic, but it will be in the park and not the water park because (2) it is meant to "anchor" that end of the midway to attract people out there when it's to cold for the water park. How crazy is that?
That's good ol Preimer for ya'.
We were also talking about how there was only one entrance to the water park and it is going to be right next to the SWF. Right behind the burger stand that is being left there from seasons past. The line for the burgers is going to obstruct the entrance to the WP. Is this great or what?
