Sheikra topped off

I was there on Tuesday, January 25 when the cranes lifted the crest of the lift hill into place. My own photos are ok, but not great. There are better shots already posted at http://rcdb.com/ig2662.htm.
Aye, been talked about for a bit, or at least posted on Screamscape, but thanks! :) *** Edited 1/31/2005 2:14:31 AM UTC by MForce2k***

Sweet!

So many new coasters, so little time. :-)

Tina, you're beginning to remind me of Miquel Brown mate!

^Is it just me or is that banking really steep? Maybe its just the offseason shrinking of coaster knowledge. You know, the thing you get over summer break from school... ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
It's steep, and it looks fun. If it wasn't for Kingda Ka this year, SheiKra would be talked about a lot more. When was the last time you've seen a B&M drop straight down not once, but twice and go into the largest inversion in the world, and finally drop into water. I've never seen one. Now a ride that launches to speeds exceeding 100mph, going up over 400 feet and twisting 270 degrees back down is something remember a few years back. ;)
SheiKra is being talked about plenty. Looks better than the thing in Jersey, and I'll probably remember my rides on the only B&M Diver in the US longer than I will a rocket.

I didn't know that. How tall is the inversion?

This is the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy
Oops... Sorry, I read that somewhere, must have been wrong.
Wow where did you hear that from Johnny? I would have guessed somewhere in the 160ft range, myself. But then again, I'm no engineer. :)

BTW, thanks for all the updates on your site! I love when I move to a new area, it gets a stateside prototype B&M (SFGAm = BTR/Bull, SFoG = SUF, Central FL = Shakira)!

Joe, will be at BGT this Thurs.

OMG I have a new sig!!!

Hey Joe...moving to LA anytime soon? ;-)
Is there any sort of a press or media day scheduled for this ride yet? I'll be in Florida in late March. Is it supposed to be ready by then?

I'm HAPPY to hear that it's lower to the ground, means it'll be carrying more speed thru that section of track...:)

bill, wishes he lived as close to BGT as Johnny apparently does...;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

No chance I'm afriad, unless BGT pull off a miricle. the ride is scheduled to open Mid/late may but as yet no offical date has still been set.

I'm going in Early June so rather hoping its going to be open then
