SheiKra @ BGT - Sighted "Swooping Down" on 1st test run!

That is part of the testing. It looks like they did start using the reverse chain dog (holding brake). The first couple days, they were stopping at the brake before that and just letting it roll over.

Based on the length of the MCBR, and the insanely steep curve to the drop, I feel confident in saying that it wont happen, if that went over that drop at the speed it comes into the breaks at, it would bruise your shoulders for weeks!

As for Sheikra.... Im concerned. Bottom line... it seems short. I hope to hell that it will be really fun, mainly because I live within a mile of the place.

But it seems like nothin special...maybe a little more than the European and Taiwanese equivalents, but still, not much more than a one trick pony, whos trick has been duplicated a thousand times since it was first introduced.

I have to disagree that this ride is little more than the first two of the breed. True, I'm biased since I'd been begging for a US version since shortly after Oblivion! debuted, but this doubles the drops AND has an inverion...(one of my personal favorites, LOL).

P.S. Not to get into a side argument, but one of the reasons I said IJ:ST was *so good* is that I think it WILL show up in gates/receipts...something that SheiKra (mixed blessing) I expect NOT to do as well with....just the wrong demographics for the right ride....but it does make ME happy! ;)

I love Busch's Sense of humor... what other better day than to have their first test... then the night of april fools day.... To try to get us tricked or fool us badely...

But we know it works.. (thought no holding break yet I hear..)

PS: I was jogging by Miss Sheikra this evening, and she was testing- shes quite quiet as she goes about her buisness

Regarding the braking before the second drop... regardless of how much braking there actually is, the bottom line is that there's no holding brake/chain like the first drop, so even if they bring you to a full and complete stop on at the end of the MCBR, you're still going to get great air in all and especially the third row. Looks great, can't wait.

That is so cool. I did not realize there was going to be a splash that large. Great effect.

That IS really cool looking, I thought it was going to be a wimpy splash like Hulk.

Ummmm, not to sound TOO....."over the edge", but I have already informed work that I may suddenly fall victim to a "falling disease" should the ride open unexpectedly. If I see something that says guests are boarding, I'll go immediately, I'm that pumped over this ride...:)

This could be the first B&M in Florida to really *push the envelope*, I'm hoping for something kinda extreme in the back row on the second drop, especially...:)
