SFWoA Question

I would like to know if the crowds at Six Flags WoA are still dead on Saturdays. I went there last year on a Saturday (The day that X-Flight opened) and everything was a walk on including X-Flight. I am going there this Saturday so any info before then would be nice and there will also be a trip report coming on Sunday.

Don't you hate it when parents make you leave Cedar Point early.
Fav. Coasters- 1. Millennium Force 2. Wicked Twister 3. Raptor 4. Magnum XL 200 5. Mantis

They're absolutely horrible. Don't go. Cancel your trip.

Why do you have to have a license to own a dog, but not to have a child?

They are very busy on Saturdays. The midway is crowded and in some places is very hard to walk because the path is narrow. The lines for the rides depend on the heat IMO because I noticed on one Saturday when it was cooler that the lines were longer but when I went on Saturday the 10th the lines for the coasters weren't all that bad. I think the longest I waited was 1 hour for X-Flight and that was a day that they had a concert. But probably the main reason for this was because it was hot and everyone was in the waterpark.

Why would they be busy this year if they were dead last year?

X-Flight opened on Saturday, May 26th. The Saturdays in May, and even June to some extent, are nothing like the Saturdays in August. You're talking about some of busiest couple days of the season when you mention a Saturday in August.

Going to any park on a Saturday in mid-August means crowds. Don't cancel your trip, but don't think you are going to walk on the rides. Be prepared to wait (or rent a Q-Bot)
Just a side note: Wicked Force - How long have you had the Coasterman87 email address? Because if my memory is not mistaken, I had that a long time ago when I had AOL and then got rid of it 3 or 4 years ago.

I got it around 10months ago.

Draegs, I also went on a Saturday in August last year and they were still dead.

Anyways im not gonna cancel my trip because its not my decision. Im going with my friend and i get in for free so i dont really care.

Then why did you ask?

I'm going on Saturday the 17th too. I am for the first time going to ride the SkyCoaster. Can anyone tell me what it is like to ride these things? I'm kinda nervous and yet at the same time excited. So any information about it would help. And do they video tape your fall and if so how much?

Go ride the one at Kennywood, don't waste your money on a 100-footer ;) But sersiouly, those things are ... wicked. They look like they should be a simliar experience to other rides, but there's just no comparison (at least with KPs). But I do reccomend if you like WoA's go ride KPs

The initial drop is the best part! Unlike anything else. I say ride it, this way you can see what they are like and get pumped up to go ride some other Sky Coasters.

Also, about Saturday. Saturdays do get crowded (as many here have already stated) but also it is Bring a Friend for $19.99 that day so it will probably be more crowded than usual...

i went last year on a monday tuesday trip and it was packed!! i dont know what you guys are saying about this it wasnt busy there last year. i waited an hour for x flight on the monday with two trains. 30+ minutes for superman and every other coaster had at least a 15 minute wait.

1.Fire Dragon 2.Ice Dragon 3.Raptor 4.Batman Knight Flight 5.Kraken

What are the top 5 days to go to WoA?

Well I went to SFWoA on Saturday and after MUCH persuading I went on the SkyCoaster. I was TERRIFIED. I hyperventilated on the way up and I screamed bloody murder on the way down. But all in all...I kinda liked it. Not something I would do all the time but if someone wanted to do it and no one else did I would do it with them. But I will NOT pull the darn ripcord!

Prices were as follow on that day for skycoaster:

1 person $19.99 2 people $15.99 per person 3 people 11.99 per person

Crowd really varies at SFWoA. I'd say week days are best (especially at the beginning of the Season.) Be warned though that this week is "Bring a Friend Free" week.
