Yea, I'm not trying to bash CP at all
the main reason I'm not going there is cause of money. I would love to go to CP AND SFWoA, but I just can't, cause I have school day after I get home from SFWoA. I know I can't judge CP before I go there, but I'm not judging it. I haven't seen the attitudes of employees..... etc. Plus if Cp does get the rumored TA2k next year, that'll make my visit much better.

I prefer steel, so I guess going to PKI would be out of the question. What are there steel coasters like?
I live in NE Ohio. I live just under 40 minutes from SFGL. Take this from a NE Ohioan: Go to Cedar Point. These are the only reasons I like SFGL: it's close, I grew up there, Batman is sweet. Those are the only reasons. If I came from far away, I would never want to go back to SFGL. It might sound appealing, but its not. I beg you to go to The Point. Cedar Point is in a world of its own. Forget the coasters there, you'll feel really different after you walk out of the gates at Cedar Point. They have what is called an 'atmosphere'. Just having the best rides in the world adds on to that. The midways are much more roomier, the people are nicer, and the employees are ones to remember. I don't recall any chain fast food restaurants at the Point either (SFGL has FOUR!) Do yourself a favor and visit Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast.

As for the some of the other comments above:
a) I would go back to SFWOA to ride the Villian and Superman Ultimate Escape and I drove 6 1/2 hours to ride them. Unlike others I had a good time there and the employees did nothing to piss me off.
b) I didn't feel different walking out of Cedar Point after two days. It felt like I had spent $54 for a 2-day admission plus $75 a night for lodging and however much else on food expenses. Let's face it CP is not Walt Disney World.
c) CP is adding Johnny Rockets a chain restaurant this year. Is the end drawing near?

I am talking fast food (taco bell, pizza hut, subway, mr. hero). What is Johnny Rocket?

Johnny Rockets is a 40s,50s? malt shop/burger joint. It is a great restaurant in my opinion. Anyways, let's not jump to conclusions. Nobody has ridden X-Flight yet, so don't already proclaim it better than the Force. I am going to SFWoA, but I am gonna wiat for the kinks to be worked out, if there is any. Bottom line is this, SFWoA, CP, and PKI are all great parks, go to all of them!

PKI-Kings Mills, Ohio-Wooden and Kiddie Coaster Capital of the World!
Last year I went to SFWoA (SFO @ the time) and I overheard the employees talking about how much they didn't like their new boss. Then one quit on the spot. SFWoA is close to me but I'll take CP.

What's a park without a B & M :).
What's a park without a B & M :)."
Oh I don't know, but Knott's Berry Farm, Kennywood nor Holiday World have B&Ms, but those are three of the best parks in the world. That should answer your question.

In my personal opinion, the answer to your question would be "a good park."
All I can say, is if you have time, and you don't do both, you are missing out.
CP can't be beat for rides like MF, Magnum, Raptor, and Mantis. Capacity is the best, and the employees are friendly. Food is good too.
SFO can't be beat for Villain, Superman, Batman, and Big Dipper. The park has a certain 'charm' to it, and there is definately fun for the whole family at hand. The employees could have better attitudes (but I did meet some truly awesome ones last year) and coasters tend to run one train, or stack two. But, at the same time, sometimes they run maximum trains and have them out right on schedule.

Every single one of those suckers will leave you with a headache! Vortex was good, Fave/Off was OK, Flight of Fear's launch was good, King Kobra was just plain rough (nice airtime eventhough it hurt). In the steel and wood catergory SFGL beats them out.

SAVE NAPSTER!

Well just to add my 2 cents. I am from Ohio and have been a season pass holder to CP the last 4 years but have also made the trip out to SFO or SFWOA or what ever they call themselves next year. I went last year more to go to Sea world and to see what had changed since they put the big six flags name up over the park but sad to say other than villian and batman was the same run down look at SFO that it has always been and 5 rides were closed down just for lack of staff think that in a few years six flags will look back at this buyout of sea world as a huge mistake as they have killed their one big hook to get people there. Without shamu its not really the same place it was before. There are plenty of amusement parks out there but only 4 make that 3 Sea Worlds. I know for me personally I i live in northwest ohio and am not planning to drive another 90 minutes past CP to go to a lesser park. Of course this is an opinion only and we know everyone got one just like everyones got a left arm. Unless of course you all have not been keeping your hands and feet inside the car at all times.... We clear and your outta here enjoy your ride this summer where ever you may go
My opinion on this subject is that I definitely agree with Chitown. SFWoA definitely looks more appealing to me, of course, that's only after I went to CP. Last year, I thought CP was so very amazing (never having gone to it). SFO paled in comparison from what I saw. However, now that I have been to CP, I am making sure I never go back again, and that I will try to hit SFWoA a couple of times this season, as it looks absolutely wonderful. With my current impression of CP, if I had to choose between SFWoA or CP, I would definitely choose SFWoA. From what I heard about SFO last year, as long as they keep that up, it'll be one great park. If they improve, Six Flags will have one hell of a money-maker on teir hands. Hell, I don't care about the animals, I'd go to SFWoA for the undoubtedly great rides...
I'd have to say, from a total park perspective SFWOA does look better than CP, on paper anyway. I have my doubts though. Unless the animal portion park can be proven successful, I have a feeling the other side of the park will be void of people. I hope they at least make a decent effort to make it look like bring it up to Sea World standards.. First impressions are big, and if this new park doesn't get off to a good start, It could be cooked. Right now it just seems like everything is being rushed. The major attractions are gone, and from what I've heard the replacements are looking bleak (talking about the animal life). Please correct me if they added anything but a few dolphins.
Well, only time will tell. If SFWOA can execute their plan, it will be a hit. I just hope it doesn't turn into the mistake around the lake .

SFWOA offers a much wider variety of coasters. Both parks have things the other wants.
Six Flags Worlds of Adventure didn't do too bad in my opinion. The food was okay, the employees were okay, they weren't really that bad. For what the park was charging and what it offered wasn't bad either. You were able to ride all the rides in one day even on its busiest days, the new rides were sweet and the old ones provide nostalgia, quite simply it is a great place, when you enter the park, it's just phenomenal as to what they did comparing it with 2000 and 1999. And I got more than what I expected when they changed the name this year, I received a thrilling place that was a helluva lot better than what it was 2 years ago.
