I don't know about you but SFWoA is getting on my nerves quite a bit! They have delayed X-Flight twice, delayed their opening once, and have had problems running their 2000 coasters along with on Saturday, I think I saw an X-Flight train get stuck on the lift hill once or twice!
Yup. I'm getting annoyed.

Rollercoasters are the secret of life!

I don't think anyone realy has the right to complain. Last year they got all FOUR rollercoasters up and running on time. If I was in management, my main priority would be integrating the two parks together better (SFO side and SW side). They have four fresh new rides from last year...enjoy those coasters for now!

Yea, except those broke down a few times yesterday!
Eveyone seems to think that it gets "stuck" on the lift. They stop it at the top of every run to make sure everything is alright. And those who also attended the "commercial shoot" would know it is going to be hard to open it Memorial Day weekend. I would have shot for aboot June 10th or so.

Delays for new rides are part of the amusement park world we live in. You can be sure the parks aren't delaying the opening of their new ride on purpose.
Delays are annoying, but there's nothing we can do about them. So, just sit back and let the anticipation grow!

I guess I would rather ride an unsafe ride today, than a safe ride in two weeks.
NOT.
I respect the park for the delays. It means they are going to make sure it is safe, with a well-trained crew.
And, the rides breaking down. Yesterday, Villain set-up once, Batman set-up a few times later in the evening, and Mind Eraser (boomerang was DDM)
Other than that, EVERY ride was open (Except the boardwalk) which is a hell of a lot better than last years 3-page list at the gate. The wildlife park is all up, the rides, except X-F and the boardwalk are up, and 95% of the food is up. And it isn't even Memorial Day. The park has never been this well run.
Yup, I am really annoyed (NOT)
They annoy me because they keep getting the new rides while other Six Flags properties are being ignored. Four major roller coasters in two years? Come on, Six Flags, share the wealth!

Its all about the are man. YOu cant blame SF for pouring in Four Coasters int o the Two states that are considered the Mecca of the roller Coaster industry. SF wants to be a formidable competitor with Cedar poitn and PKI, not to mention that ohio is relativly close to New York and New Jersey and Penn state. Thats alot of money you can rack up. SFWOA is prime real estate right inbtween michigen and Penn. Thats a big coaster area that they can pick up becuase they are one of the big boys now. I cant blame them for neglecting Elicth Garden and adding 4 coasters to ohio and Magic Mountain. i just can see were they are coming from

I think the reason people are annoyed are because other parks seem to open their coasters on time and these don't. Maybe some of the people who are angry are so because they planned their trip for the opening of the ride.
And my Gawd if I see another Worlds of Adventure commercial, I am going to be sick (no school monday).

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
I've never understood why people plan their trips for the opening day. I mean, I know being one of the first people to ride it is cool and all, but people shouldn't expect everything to be open on time. Expect the unexpected. Unfortunately, we are talking about the General Public, and they expect the near impossible.
As for coasters opening on time, I don't know what's up with this year. Almost nothing is opening on time. Oh well, I'm not going to a big amusement park until June 8 anyways. No problem for me.

I must say that I live in prime area for coasters! I live within an hour of Kennywood, two hours from SFWoA, three hours from CP, and four hours from PKI! Those are arguably four of the top ten parks in the world! And no, SFWoA has not donw anything to make me mad. I would rather ride a ride that is safe anyways!

Top 3 Parks

1. Cedar Point
2. Six Flags WoA
3. Six Flags MM
I live ten minutes from sfwoa and the only thing that has alot of people pissed off in the area is the traffic. The have rt. 43 witch is only one lane both ways and when that park opens up you cannot go anywhere. We understand about the ride having to be safe but so does traffic they need to expand that road!!!!!!!
Hello? All other parks open their coasters on time? Phantom's Revenge anyone? They've had longer to build than any Six Flags coaster except maybe Nitro and a major portion of the ride was already built! And they opened with just one train. Am I looking down on Kennywood? Absolutely not. I'm well aware of the problems they've had. I'm just asking that people be fair with their comments. X-Flight is relatively new technology. Let them get the bugs out before opening.
Hey I'm no where near a Six Flags fan at all. But what can you do if a ride is not ready to be open. "Well Bob, lets open the ride anyway, how bad could someone get hurt?"
I guess you can't please people anymore.
People complain that a new ride is not open on Opening Day.
People complain because a park says their new ride will open on such and such day and it doesn't due to some problems.
When it does open, people complain that they waited three hours in line because they were only running one train.
Take a look at last season. SOB opened, then closed, opened again, then closed again, then stayed open with one train operation until later in the season. MF had some problems early in the season (believe me my first visit last year saw them continuously putting trains on and off the ride to check the wheels.)
As far as the park is concerned, I can patiently wait as I have thoroughly enjoyed my three visits so far this year. With the wildlife side of the park to explore, great night rides on Villain, and not to forget SUE and BKF, and a now running Big Dipper, I'm willing to wait for X Flight.

SFWoA: An Unofficial Guide

Im going on wednesday, and im pretty disapointed they cant have it running by now. The thing has been done for around a month, HOW HARD IS IT TO GET IT WORKING ON TIME?!?!?
You guys are worse than a three year old that can not have candy when he see's it at the grocery store. Plain and simple, they found problems. If you just bought a new Vette, and the engine was making a funny noise, are you gonna get on the highway and let it loose? I dont think so. Dont you think they (the park)are as anctious to open it, and get great publicity as you would be to get on the highway and open up all eight cylinders? Common sense people!! I am one of the most impatient people there is. WHen I order a product mail order, I pay for overnight or 2 day delivery. However, my safety is first and foremost. All you people are whining about the ride not being open. What if they said, Gee, we have a bunch of kids complaining because it is not open yet, why dont we open it, and we will test it later. If anything happens, These same people crying because it is not open would be on the phone with their lawyer before they left the park. I have been to the park 5 times so far this year, and sure, I would have like to have rode X-flight, but I will wait until I know it is safe. This may be hard for some of you to swallow, even impossible for others, but all I can say is grow up people.
Safety is not a problem with X-flight. Parts of the ride are just not finished. I heard that during the commercial shoot the Vekoma people lowered the cars to the riding position in the station because the mechanism that does that automatically was not ready yet. The coaster is perfectly safe, it ran it with riders for the commercial, it just isn't ready to run efficiently because all parts of it aren't complete yet.

I guess this goes back to the topic of cp coaster riders being spoiled ...Because C.P. Has the rides up and running on opening day. But hey It could be worse ..I mean Look at X at SFMM I Don't Even see a lift hill on that puppy yet ! At least X-flight is built and its going through the final testing.JUst a few more days....
