Why are they charging extra??? Although Six Flags parks in general like to upcharge on anything possible (however, I was pleasantly surprised by the free SmarteLockers by X at Magic Mountain), I can't believe they are charging an extra $10 to go through the haunted houses. This doesn't line up with any other park, Six Flags or not. Are they really that desperate for the money??? Just seems silly to charge $49.99 for this event when just down the road the competition is offering the same style of thrills (haunted and rides) for less money.

I'm not going to be able to make it to the event this year, but I can tell you one thing, CLOWNS ARE SCARY, so there would be at least one haunted house to scare the beejeezus out of me.

Well, it is better than paying for every single haunted house, you know? I mean, at SFGAm, we had two last year and I believe each one was around $5 to get into per trip in. So, if this wristband is designed so that you pay $10 and go into whichever ones you want as much as you want, I find that pretty nice. :-) Especially for 5 different houses. That's just my view point on it.

"If two coaster trains almost hit each other, why is it called a near miss and not a near hit?"

With all the free tickets distibuted through season passes/giveaways most people probably aren't even paying to get in. Also the cost of the houses + general admission w/ cupon from CVS is less than general admission.

Lets just say this is the best Fright Fest the park has put on and you will truely enjoy your time there.

I TOTALLY agree about making a visit to SFWoA for Fright Fest...as to making a trip to all Ohio Parks this year for Halloween. I would say Ohio has the best and most versity for anyone and everyone for Halloween things! As for the extra charge, I think PKI is the strangest since they shut down the whole park then is another charge at night. Though SFWoA and PKI are both worth the little extra $$$ just find some coupons and have a great time. If you want to see any pics of SFWOA Fright Fest, just check out the link below...C-ya around at Halloween!!!

Haunted Ohio Parks...you've been warned!!

Six Flags St. Louis charges extra for the haunted house as well!

"To be the man...whoooooo...you have to beat the man!"

Six Flags St. Louis adjusted it's prices this year it is $3 each for Brutal Planet and Masouleum of Terror or $5 for both. Last year they were $5 and $3 each.

Almost every SF park charges for at least some of their haunted houses(SFAW does not and some other smaller SF parks may also not charge). This has been going on since the 1999 Fright Fest, the first Fright Fest after Premier had full control of SF.

Brutal Planet at SIxflags GreatAdventure was $7 when they first introduced it in like in 99 or 00, then the following season it was free, but the line was huge!, but now they dont have it period, it wasent that great anyway. I think the year that they charged $7 was prop alot more scary, and to be truthfull if I had to pay extra to get more scared I would becuase then maybe they are paying the actors more money? or having the extra funding lets them have more actors?. To be onest most people will prop pay for the haunted houses anyway becuase they want to go in and if they want to there going to ,and sixflags knows that and makes it seem like firghtfest is somthing totally difrent from the average rollercoaster, attractions price of nearly $50 pp.I just love it when they say all these new rides and attractions ,and 9 out 10 are up charges hehe, I love to laugh at there great marketing they do sometimes.

I can remember going to Six Flags when it was still "Geauga Lake" during their Octoberfest. There were plenty of extra vendors, from popcorn stalls to Fortune Tellers, set up along the midway, with plenty of beer available, of course. That was one of the best times I've ever had at an amusement park.

I have heard some really good comments about the Fright Fest at SFWoA. They are really into promoting it, and I probably hear more about it since I live so close to the park. As for the extra charge for the attractions, it might be worth it. I would be just as happy to ride the rollercoasters and leave the "extras" out, though.

SFWoA did an excellent job with frightfest this season. I've been to everyone and can easily say this years is the best by far. There are tons of strolling characters everywhere in the park. I didn't mind dishing out the extra 10 bucks for what I got out of it and the fact I brought a friend for free. Also I've yet to wait more than 10 minutes for any coaster this frightfest, including Xflight.

SFWoA did a fantastic job with their Halloween Fright Fest. I personally hate haunted houses, but could still tell that SF went 100% all out to make it a great time for those that like that stuff. I wanted to hit the coasters only, but you can't help but be amazed at how much extra work they put in. It paid off. Good job.
