SFWoA 8/17 -- GREAT night!

Associated parks:
None

This weekend my brother, sister, and I hit Cedar Point. Driving from Pittsburgh to Sandusky on Friday night, we were unsure if we wanted to stop at Six Flags on the way, and decided we'd see how we felt when we got in the general area.

As we approached Exit 187 of the Ohio Turnpike at 8:10pm, we decided what the heck. We all had season passes, and I'd grabbed one of my parking vouchers. The park was scheduled to close at 10pm, so we figured we'd get maybe a lap each on a few coasters, but for a basically-free stop, why not.

We got to the park (rides side) around 8:30pm, to discover a parking lot that was not only fairly empty, but rapidly becoming even more vacant by the minute. Pulling up to the entry gate, we found there were no attendants to take my parking voucher -- bonus. We quickly found a parking space right by the front, and walked in.

The park was pretty empty, as we'd expected from the parking lot. It wasn't a very PRETTY sight -- trashcans overflowing, 2 bathrooms flooded. Six Flags REALLY needs to work on things like that.

But for riding...wow.

We started with a lap on Superman. Then we hit Villain, Double Loop, and Batman (2 train operation, NO stacking in the few minutes we were up there waiting for the back row). Wandering back to Villain, we took 3 more laps, including a repeat ride in the back row to close out the evening.

Kudos to the Superman, Batman, and Villain crews. They were busting their butts getting trains out, and were even smiling. The double ride on Villain, especially, was appreciated. Very nice.

Overall, a quick but very worthwhile stop, far more than we'd expected to get done in 90 minutes.

Were you able to get on X-Flight?

Current Favorite Coasters:
1)Raging Bull 2)Millennium Force 3)Medusa (SFMW) 4)Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) 5)Dueling Dragons (Ice)

We didn't bother. We were only there for 90 minutes and most lines were dead, why waste the entire time on 1 ride?

To be fair, X-Flight's line may NOT have been its typical 2 hours, but we didn't feel like checking. If we'd gotten on, I'd have said so...
