First up was to get the pass processed. The was a big line but it moved fairly quickly and we were in within 30 minutes.
Every ride was operational but Texas Twister, which was getting new restrains and Double Loop that is getting some work done on the trains. Villain had one train going, but we talked to an op later and said the other train was experiencing problems and kept rolling back (it is rollback season after all). RWB and Big Dipper also were running one train but with skid brakes and rain this is understandable.
Started of with Villain, about a 30-minute wait with a not so bad ride. Next up on the docket was Serial Thriller and I got to try out the new padding. Hey, my ears did not get cut up this time, the ride still sucks though. After that was some good front seat action on BKF (2 trains 15-minute wait.) followed by a rear seat ride, both very good. Then I got to experience the painful bliss of 1-3 on Dipper.
S: UE was a walk on. This year though they moved the seat belt clip back a notch it seemed and it tighter than Wicked Twister, so be weary those who are on the brink. The ride seems so much less intense than Twister does so that only warranted on lap. It was off for some food on the Wildlife side. On the way over, the new rides look pretty good.
CHINA BUFFET RULES ALL! The buffet was $11 with a $2 off coupon. I was expecting some crappy park run outlet but this is Bona Fide China Buffet (if you go you will know what I mean ;)). Crab Legs, Salmon, Shrimp, Frog Legs (Yuck,) , Sushi, you name it they had it. Granted some of the food was not exactly Chinese but I'm not going to complain. Awesome grub. I recommend the Chicken Sticks, Stuffed Chicken, and the mixed Veggies in a spicy sauce. Yum!
During this time it pored outdoors which cleared the park, but when we left it stopped raining. Two more laps on BKF then off to some Villain ERT. :)
The with the rain slicked rails, Villain was running superb. The second hill has incredible air and it was booking around every turn. Stayed there till nightfall, so about 2 hours of nonstop Villain action, most in the dark :) . Sat in almost every seat and no matter where, I was out of the seat for half the ride. The ride ops know how to check lap bars too. Pull up??! Who would have thought?!
Overall a great night at the WoA.
