SFWoA: Quick Trip

Associated parks:
None

Friday, June 22.

First of all, a shout out to Chaindog, who we met in line. A fellow coasterbuzzer with a passion for coasters at an 'older' age. He even asked when in the hell will he grow up...I hope never for his sake!

We only spent 4 hours in the park...but, it was well worth it. No lines except X-Flight, where we jumped on Villian 5 times, Batman 4 times and Superman 3 times.

X-Flight: 4th train out. Thrilling, yes. G-Forces, oh yeah! It's hard to explain something that allows the body to fly free. The G's were intense at such a low speed, but overall, it was a great way to start the day. It's something that you have to experience. I can't wait to do it again.

I'm falling in love with the Villian and Batman. Unique rides with great pacing. Both seem prescribed on Viagra. We rode the Villian in the rain and ...WOW, what a difference. Batman's first corner after the loop is one of the greatest elements. 25 feet over the gift shop! No matter how much I love MF, Magnum, Mantis and Raptor, these coasters deserve some serious attention. The two parks are completely different with great variety of coasters.

Service was great (again). Beer was perfect! What more can I say, it was worth 4 hours in the car for 15 rides on the coasters. BTW: Raging Wolf Bobs was not working, it was dearly missed. I like Big Dipper, but Raging Wolf is another good woodie. (Hint: CP, you need another woodie in the house!)

Have a great week of riding!

Could not agree more!
OK… this is the second TR I’ve seen lately where people had a good time at SFWoA. You people are obviously liars because we all know that SFWoA is the worst park on the face of the planet.

sarcasm off… When I went to the park in mid May, I had a fine time – the park seemed clean enough, the service wasn’t terrible, most rides were operating at decent capacity (two trains on Villain, BKF, and ST) and I thought the Sea World side was great.

The park wasn’t perfect – X-Flight had not opened yet (big time bummer since I flew in from St Louis), one train operation on Big Dipper and Double Loop (and the train on DL had the front seat roped off???) and the queues seemed to close quite early… but nothing as bad as what I’ve been reading lately.

Just My 2 cents

Kip
Nice TR, it is good to see that this park is finally getting the good reviews it deserves.

The Pens will win the Stanley Cup in 2002!
I gotta say - I think some of us "old guys" can kick some of these young whipper-snappers it the shorts! I mean I wasn't the guy who barfed on S:UE. I'll bet he was younger then both of us. :)

The Bobs was up later in the afternoon. Too bad you missed it!

And I have to agree. CP is home, and always will be. But it's not the only park in the world. This is a fine park that stands on its own. Now, if they only had a B&M hyper...

Without upstops, airtime would have a whole new meaning.
