SFWoA- (geronimo)-8-8

Associated parks:
None

got to a very crowded SFWoA and made an appointment on Geronimo for 3 people at 4:45. Until that time we got on RWB (10 minute wait) and had a great ride on it. Then saw a full queue at Batman so we bypassed that and went on the go karts which are always a blast. So then we saw a long line at Villain and decided to go on the svariest ride at the park that actually has a Lo-Q line, Roadrunner X-Press. It was then i noticed the park is doing a new thing in the queues, let me explain:

Every line goes up to a ceartin point, sometimes at the station entrance, they're only letting a trainload of people go in the station, which is great becuase you can still choose your seat, but there is barley anyone in the station. Very simple idea. The only problem is this makes the wait look really long and can turn some people away from the rides.

So after having a fun ride on RRX it was almost time for Geronimo. We suited up and before i knew it we were on the platform and parallel with the ground. I was a little nervous, this being my first skycoaster. They instructed us to lock our arms until we passed the front poles on our way down, doesnt make sense but we did it anyway. After quickly being pulled up and having a great view of the park it was time to fly. My freind to my right released the cable and we were flying. With a huge crowd watching we soared past them and had a very close fly by to the metal shack under us. As we flew over Batman i had the greatest experience ever on a non-roller coaster ride. Before i knew it our flight time was over and we were already on ground again. It was a great experience that i plan on doing next time i go to SFWoA. I would strongly recomend that you experience a skycoaster if you havent already. Now that prices are $15/1 person, $10/2 people, $6/3 people theres no reason to pass this up.

After finishing Geronimo we et up with some girls we knew and went on Villain 3 times, the line was about 15 minutes each time. Had a great fun, airtime filled time. Then it was 6:30 and i had to go, but plan on returning next week a couple times.

Does anyone know if School Days Coaster Daze is going on again this year?

I was at SFWOA on the 8th and also noticed the new line policy. I personally like limiting the number of people in the station – its keeps things from getting too claustrophobic. The only problem is that the lady who was handling the Villain from about 6:00 to closing wasn’t letting enough people in the station. Most strains where going out with 1 or 2 empty rows.

And when did they start making people remove their glasses on Villain? I had a strap on mine for the loopers, but I hardly think one is needed on Villain.

And what I found really ironic was that while they where making every guest remove their glasses and hats, I rode next to an employee who was took his cell phone on the ride!

This year the Park is open the same week they had their School Dayz Coaster Craze last year, so I guess it is part of the "regular operation" this year.
I loved the new line policy. I was theer yesterday as well. It worked very well. CP should do this deal on Gemini. It would keep the station from being so packed.

Since Jeff made Track Record a "perk" for CB members i'll just post my count here: Coasters:99 Parks:14

I was also there yesterday and S:UE was open til a little past noon and then it shut down. Not sure if it ever reopened because I left around 3:00. I heard it was supposed to reopen though.
Nice TR! Did you go on anything else?
