SFWoA - 6/24

Associated parks:
None

This turned out to be a good day at SFWoA. Got to the park around 3 and found out the only two coaster down were Double Loop and Mind Eraser.

X-Flight - Walk-on. Great ride and one of my favorites. The loop is very intense and the barrel rolls are just awsome. They only had one train operating and at sometimes even the one train had entire cars empty. Rode this many time during the day.

Superman: Ultimate Escape - Walk-on. Another great ride. I love the whole ride and could've ridden it all day.

Batman Knight Flight - Walk-on. Opened around 4:30 and was on the first train in the first car. Definately my favorite at the park. The ride is definately one of the smoothest.

Villain - Walk-on. My favorite woodie of all time. Great air and speed. Man I love this ride so much!

After this, I got a few more rides on Villain and X-Flight then called it a day.

Note: New park hours once again. The park is back operating 10 - 10 each and every day now. Not just Fridays and Saturdays.

Yes, the hours will be differant on weekends. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be 10-10 I believe, and every day during the week is 10-9.

NITRO ~ The most EXPLOSIVE coaster on the planet!

Partially correct. The park does stay "open" until 10 p.m., however, the rides close at 9 p.m. What does that exaclty mean? Guests get to roam the midways, playing games, buying food, and all that other good stuff. Oh yea, the fireworks are back on, everyday at 9:45.

"Got to the park around 3 and found out the only two coaster down were Double Loop and Mind Eraser. "

You said this like it was to be expected (or even a good thing... meaning there are normally more than two down).

I gotta either be very spoiled or very lucky. Only ever ran into one park that had coasters closed for the entire day (SFA last August... S:RoS down for the day and ROAR and Mind Eraser running only some of the time).

Hmmm... When I went last week, the shops, food stands, and ride entrances all closed at 5 minutes to 9. I was amazed that SFWoA wasn't trying to rake in few more bucks from visitors as they left the park. My aunt and cousin were actually denied entrance to a seemingly open store because the clerks "had to close right at 9." The games were the only thing open. It kind of put a damper on an otherwise stellar day at the park.

By the way, which ride do you work?

Chris, we only just started this new schedule on Monday I think. I was working Monday evening on the Skyscraper, when at 9 p.m., all the rides closed (except the boats that go across the lake). However, all the games and shops, for the most part, were still open.

Monday was the day I was there. Lots of confusion amongst the guests and staff when things started shutting down early. Oh well, we still had fun.

Chris, I mean we just started the new schedule on Monday, June 25. Not last week Monday, this Monday. Like, yesterday, lol.

Oh, gotcha. Aparently last Monday (when I was there) was one of the first days the park closed at 9 pm. .

Sounds like a nice empty park. Nice Trip Report!
