SFWoA - 5/17 Quick Visit!!!

Associated parks:
None

I'll make this short and sweet..... And I'll try a bullet format for the hell of it.

*Got to the park at about 4pm and went to get passes processed

*No wait at all, processed within a couple of minutes

*Went straight to Raging Wolf Bobs......One train op..... I wanted to ride this first to see how it compared to how it was last year..... It was about a 5 minute wait and I can finally say it was worth even thattt long of a wait. .......It wasnt bad at all, now I think I might just call it Villain Jr. because it feels just like it now because of the trains. .......Still not the best but I think its a nice improvement.

*Rode Batman...2 train op...was about a 15 minute wait... great ride and it got my adrenaline pumping for the rest of the visit.

*Went straight to Villain....2 train op....15 minute wait.....nothin beats the back seats on that thing.....its always seems like it gets rougher with every ride but that may just be me....still awesome though, the airtime in the back cant be beat.....wait....it can...by the Big Dipper

*Big Dipper...1 train op....broke down for about 10 mintutes then it was about a 5 minute wait.....This thing just suprises me more and more each time I ride it.....I know a lot of people that ride it dont like it that much because they rode it in the back....the front on this thing is really amazing and if you go anywhere else you're crazy!.....maybe its not as good as Im making it out to be but hey, for a coaster built that long ago, its a pretty incredible feat..(sp?)..

*Superman....1 train op (haha)...10 minute wait.....Pretty good ride.....I really wish I could like this coaster as much as Wicked Twister....it just doesnt kick into gear like WT does...oh well.

Well the hype of Sfwoa being great so far is true, it was really good and I plan on going back pretty soon. It was a nice first trip to my homepark, or any park this year for that matter.

Shpadoinkle,

AJ!

Even though I did enjoy it on previous visits, it's good to read that RWB is doing much better this year and add it to the long list of great woodies in Ohio. I disagree with you about WT being much better than SUE at all, but I did ride it later in the year in 2002 when the group I was with claimed it was tamer than earlier in the season. That doesn't matter though when I think they're both outstanding rides anyways.

Were there many rides not operating and has the Starfish(??) flat that came from SFMW opened yet? Where is that located? Thanks for the report.

No idea about the Starfish ride. We only went back to RWB and then worked our way back to the front riding everything worth riding...except Xflight because of the 1 train op plus full queue.

The only rides that were on the list of not operating today were Texas Twister & The Ferry Boats.....but I saw the Ferry Boats running when we were there. So technically Texas Twister was the only thing not running.....not bad at all!

Starfish, (from Marine World), and The Thriller Bees, (from Kentucky Kingdom) have been open every day since opening day. They are both located under the Shouka Whale Stadium, next to Lakeside Cafe.

That starfish ride is awesome! I recommend it to everyone. I love all the flats on the old SWO ride. I rode it with my friend Corey and one ride wasn't enough. Although you get a little smashed, there is some great airtime.
Coasterzak isn't kidding. That ride is amazing. It is by far my favorite flat there. It is really intense. I reccomend it for anyone who is on the Wildlife side.

Anybody who's been to Worlds of Adventure within the past week...

Do you know when the projected opening date of the whole waterpark complex is schedualed to be completed?

Will it be done in time for Memorial Day, or would mid-June be a best bet? I'm thinking of planning a day-trip there on Memorial Day, but really, only if the new part of the waterpark is completed... anyone know the status thus far how it's coming?

Yes, Shark Attack is all but done, whereas Hurricane Mountain only has the yellow slide partially mounted on the steel frame, as of Sunday.

And yes, Starfish is one of the most intense rides in the park. In fact, I do operate it regularly. Just a friendly warning to those waiting in line, we have already had one instance of "Circle Puke". Yah. That was fun to clean up.
