SFSTL or WOF

i need a little. me and a buch of my friends are wanting to go to either sfstl or wof. we want to have good ride time. so which park would be better,. we are going on a tues or weds. any help would be great..

I would take SFSTL over WOF purely for the numer of rides. Although I haven't been to WOF in about 8 years, the only major attractions they have added is the Mamba and a tower. On the other hand the Boss is a fun but punishing ride. Batman, just like all the others, is short but oh so sweet. And WOF doesn't have anything like Mr. Freeze, which I personally like. So here is a quick break down of the coasters.

WOF/SFSTL
Wood
Timber Wolf/Screamin' Eagle, Boss adv. SFSTL
Steal
Orient Express/Ninja,Mr. Freeze adv. SFSTL
although OE is much better than Ninja
Hyper
Mamba/none adv. WOF
Inverted
none/Batman adv. SFSTL
Mine Trains
does it really matter?

While this info is correct to the best of my knowledge I might be missing something.
By the way I'm going to SFSTL today.

not that it really matters, but WOF added "Boomerang!" last year, and added the whole 'camp snoopy' deal this year.

I would definitely go to SFStL over WOF b/c, like Incidentalist said, SFStL has a much better selection of rides & coasters. I have been to both, SFStL being my home park, and I went to WOF last season (and they havent added anything new this year except Camp Snoopy), and I would say SFStL would probably be the better choice.

Okay, I like both parks, but if you are interested in coasters, St. Louis has more of a variety. I'm not saying thier coasters are better, but they have more. However, they do NOT have a better selection of rides, overall. They have only a few flat/family rides.

Basicly, if you want coasters, go to St. Louis. The Boss is fantastic, Screamin' Eagle is fun and Mr. Freeze has a great launch. However, Mamba at WOF is hard to beat and yes, Orient Express definitely has Ninja beat.

You may want to go to WoF to ride Mamba and Timberwolf. They are better than any rides at SFSTL.(with exception to maybe The Boss)

When I went to SFSTL Mr. Freeze, Ninja, and Screamin' Eagle were all broken down which kind of sucked. I don't know if this happens frequently. *** This post was edited by mamba on 6/24/2001. ***
